any write ups on how to program the chipped key to the car(new key) cant find any info

If you have two programmed keys, the procedure to add additional keys is in the owner's manual. If you only have one programmed key, you can use forscan software or bring it to the dealer. If you opt for forscan, you must have two good keys(does not matter if they are programmed for your car). I did successfully program two keys for my car, with forscan, as when I purchased only one key was provided.
