Anybody going over to the Paviliions in the morning?

I guess not! I'm in Ohio for the Holidays, and won't be back until January. I'm sure I'll be dropping by during Jan and Feb.

I did not know they had a morning get together. Is this relatively new?

Sorry. I assumed that it was in the morning like the one in Irvine. I checked their website after I posted to find out it started at 4pm on Saturdays.

Nice get together BTW. I'm looking forward to future visits.

Pretty sure it is the biggest get togther in Az. If you like huge crowds, go on the Saturday night of the B-J auction. If you don't like big crowds, that is a good weekend to stay away.

The Pavilions is clearly the biggest ongoing car even in Phoenix happening each and every Saturday evening as long as I can remember. Been going there since I was in high school and theres always a great turnout.

I'd be interested in getting together for a Cars and Coffee event on Saturday mornings. Heck if you want to meet at my restaurant at Rural and Elliot in Tempe (http://www.pcroissant.com ) I'll even pony up for the coffees for anyone driving or riding in a GT. I am only in Phoenix once in a while these days but I'll make it happen if any of the AZ boys (or girls Piccolo) wanna do it.

If you are looking for a good morning Cars and Coffee event, the first Saturday of every month is a C&C event at Gainey Village at the southeast corner of Scottsdale Rd. and Doubletree Ranch Road. A good selection of cars have been there the last couple of months. Who wants to join me this Sat. (12/6) about 8 to 8;30 am?

I occasionally go to the Pavillions, but have never been to the morning C&C. I'll try to stop by this Saturday and check it out.

"Team Jeff" coordinated a Phoenix Cars & Coffee two weeks ago in the NW Valley at 59th Ave - just S. of the 101. There were 5 GT's that showed up, a few NSX's and a tricked out Z. Jeff brought his SP GT40.

We're talking about doing this once a month and a few of us are talking about offering our homes for a BBQ lunch after the C&C.

Does the one at Gainey Village have any significant size as of yet?

Tim...get back to AZ! We've got to do a "Rhino Run" before it gets hot again.

I'm going to host a GT Group BBQ in January [Saturday yet to be determined]. Hopefully I'll see you there!

The last couple of events at Gainey attracted about 40 cars + or -.

I was there for about an hour this morning. Relatively small gathering, and it seemed that most people knew each other. I couldn't believe how many Testarrosas there were!! There were also a few 60's Jaguars, some Alfa Romeos, older Porsches, a few Lambos and 'Vettes, Rachael's Pantera, and a midnight blue GT. Was that you? I was hoping to meet you, but met a few new guys instead and had an opportunity to speak Italian. :biggrin The guy who runs the Pavillions was there as well. What a character!!! Wherever you were, you did have a nice crowd around your car. :thumbsup

That was me. Sorry I missed you. Wish more of the local GTs could have made it. That Diablo was very nice looking.

Sounds like fun. Sorry I missed it. I was out of town all week on biz and my wife needed some help with the 7 week old - along with Chritmas decoration day.

Jeff and I will try to hit next months. I'll get the word out to a few of my car-focused friends that don't have GT's. I've got a buddy who has (3) 60's Jags and is purchasing a 40's Jag. And another that has a long history with Ferrari.

First Saturday of each month?

Saturday, September 05, 2009.

Today started out as a nice morning, overcast, approx 79 degrees.

Normally I play hockey on Friday nights so .... Saturday mornings are absolutely brutal. However, last night we had a bye. So this morning I met up with Tim Cantwell at the Cars & Coffee off Scottsdale Rd and Doubleree Ranch Rd.

On the way there, it started to rain ... bummer. I am still going. We get there, rain stops for about 15 minutes ... then it was a complete down pour.

Some other GT owners still showed up. WOW. It is nice to know that there are other GT owners that just don't own a GT to dust it in the garage.

I am relatively new to the GT forum, however, I must say everyone I have met in relation to the GT have been super nice people.

It was a pleasure to meet some new people today, GT owners that are just good car guys that love their GT.

I purchased my GT January 2009. Previous owner did some nice mods and she is truly a remarkable machine. I am very lucky and fortunate to be in a position to own one. Especially in our country's economic times.

I am looking forward to this October get together.

Fellow AZ GT Owners, please keep me posted on upcoming events. I live in south Tempe, Elliot & Rural. I love to take her out of the stable and run.

Sincerely,
Greg

Greg,

I own the P.croissant Bakery Cafe on the NW corner of Rural and Elliot. We'll have to get together one of the days.

Hello Nathan.

Sounds good and your Croissant Bakery & Cafe food is great. My wife loves the bacon, egg & cheese croissant.

Nice chatting with you during the rain delay. What exhaust you running on your FGT? It appeared the thunder stopped when you were leaving :lol
