German Translation

Thank´s for your nice comment.
My english may be not very good but your computertranslation really is worse.Sorry.
I also use Mobil, like you can see on the picture I lost
some oil, but my dealer informed me yesterday, that
they found the reason for this problem.

Vic,
The alarm on Clarksons car is a "Cobra" with sattelite tracking option and all sorts of movement sensors which the original alarm don't have. These alarms are fittet to ALL European cars (to apply with claims from British insurance companies). Clarkson had some additional devise connected (don't know what) that set off the alarm system. This was the story I was told by Ford of Denmark.

The exhaust issue is quite the opposit... The European cars are made LESS noisy....:-( a big shame, but I'm having a Borla and full lenght headers soon, so who cares...

It's becoming like an episode of Star Trek with 1 of 101 and 1 of 19 - where is 7 of 9? :lol

Apart from having been assimilated by the Borg, what was your oil leak exactly? Congratulations on the car by the way....!

Clarksons Tracker system was a problem too. Over here (UK) we have to have Tracker fitted because you can't get a decent insurance policy without it...

..

Very similar to what I was told here in the States. The European cars get a special alarm system, due to regulations. The Clarkson car had a bug which continually set-off the alarm at the wrong time. Not caused by the driver. Initially they could not resolve the problem but now it has been corrected.

I am surprised at how good your English is!

Glad your oil issue is resolved.

Chrysler Vipers used to be susceptible to oil passing through the intake, under hard braking. Oil in the valve covers sloshes forward, and is introduced into the air cleaner box, where it enters the engine and then goes out the tailpipe as thick blue smoke. The easiest fix was to add a catch can for the overflow. Or, if you wanted to take off the valve covers, the breathers could be relocated, so the oil couldn't slosh out.

Did you notice any blue smoke under hard braking?

1 of 101- You are another guy whose English is impressive! It doesn't sound like you learned it from a book alone. Did you live in the UK or States at any time?

I didn't know that about Tracker alarms, thanks.

Well thanks for commenting on my foreign lingo skills ;-)

Not too many people around the globe are too familiar with danish (we are only 6 million people living here)

But you guys should know at least a couple of danes...

Theres been a a topic regarding the C06 Corvette round the Nurburgring... That was driven by my child hood friend and twice GTS Le Mans winner Jan Magnussen.

Another buddy of mine is "Mr Le Mans" Tom Kristensen 7 times winner of that race and also a frequent ALMS racer comes from Denmark...

didn't work the first time...

Regarding the ZO6 at the N'Ring-

There is some debate about whether it is a production ZO6, or the rumored "Blue Devil" concept. Have you heard anything about that?

ps Those are some awesome friends you got there! Fast company!

The car was a bog standard 500 HP Z version... the only thing they did was shave the tires right down.

He tells me that the Blue Devil is used for test purposes only... It has got a supercharger and is close to 1000 ponies :eek

Keeps blowing up though... :lol

Jep, they are all marked "1 of 101" no special VIN #... just the sill plate

The oil-leak has been caused by a broken part inside the overpressurevalve of the gearbox.

Nearby Cologne!
If you meet another fast car on the autobahn outside a
traffic jam (like this Bugatti Veyron) the Gt runs 225mph.

My understanding the the GT top speed is limited to 205 mph.

Also the Bugatti needs to stop and be placed in high speed mode to reach over 200 mph. The setting is automaticaly removed if the driver touches the brakes, so I doubt that anyone drives around in high-speed mode. Just a gimick.

The high-speed mode of the Bugatti starts at 375kmH = 233 mph

stefan :lol

I Guess you guys won't figure out the secret language used here,,, :biggrin :biggrin :biggrin

Well, you are asking who claims that the speed program is deactivated when you touch the brake... And asking if he has altered the computer.

The second bit is something about being carefull about altering the Ford, and then some dialect starting with the words "to put it polite"

Close??

Close... I said it's bull that the Ford does 225mph, as at 205 the fuel is shut off, unless he has altered the ECU. If sop he should be caREFULL, because there was always a saying with the Ford fort(gone), return with the train (as Ford's used to have not the best of image in good ol germany few hundred years ago)..
