In the future I'll make a detailed description on all the different details between your cars and the European 101's
My friend will take some good quality pictures, but until then, I have a few interesting shots...

Door sill...

Parking light moved down by the fog light, as amber parking light are not legal in Europe
(if you think you've seen this before, then check out pics of the concept car :-).
Also note the head light washer...

When you see this in the rear view you know its Euro trash on the loose...

That sill plate is sweet :thumbsup Are there going to be any other GT's in denmark? What was it, 54 in Germany, 28 in the UK.. that leaves very few for the rest of Europe.

I like the red with no stripes, looks racy :cheers

I know for a fact I'm the only one in Denmark..
I having vinyl stripes applied tomorrow (just to look like aaaaaaall the others :rolleyes )

A little vinyl did the trick...

Well here I am looking just like the rest of them...
The vinyl guys did a hell of a nice job, and its hard to tell those stripes are not painted on.
To make sure we got all the sizes right (a little narrower on the roff etc) I had my friend swing by with his Yellow GT.

Where's the yellow car from? Are there now 2 in Denmark? :biggrin

I'll say the did a great job. Dare I ask how cut out the pattern and at what expense? I have a plain white GT, might be interested in buying from them if they have a pattern.

sticker stripes

:thumbsup Wow ! Looks impressive, and saved you a big bundle you can now play with for pulley mods and a well sounding header/exhaust set.... Can't wait to see it in Le Mans !

It's pretty simple to make the stripes. They messure 173mm each (execpt the roof 169mm) and the gap between is 25mm.

The hard job is putting them on the car. That can only be done by proffesional (the hood was a major pain for them), and those people have the right machines to cut the stripes as well.

It set me back just $500, so plenty left over for headers and odour trees :lol

The yellow one is an 04 manufacture bought in the US back in feb, cost the guy $50K above list, so we are 2 GT in Denmark at the moment, but roumor has it that a third is on it's way from the US...

I'm still DK's only "one of 101" car :biggrin

Did your installer make a template to cut your stripes? I may be interested in taking advantage of the work they already did.

What they do is that the simply make the two stripes with the gap between mounted on a applying paper (couldn't find a better word) that is removed once the stripes in in place. The stripes are cut in a machine in no time...

Show this picture to a proffesional sticker/vinyl company, and they will go: "yeah, no problem"

The only thing I painted was the 2 grille inserts on the engine cover.

Good luck...

Thanks, We have in the San Francisco Bay Area some folks that are artists in wraping vehicles with advertising materials that look painted on, wihout wrinkles or flaws. Also I want to get an invisible bra installed with ScotchGard clear tape. There is a guy that many of the Ferrari folks swear by and I will speak with him. Cheers :cheers

I'm not sure I like the look of that knife so close to such precious paintwork!

Hello from Germany

Hi,
greeting to the United States and Ford because they build
better cars, than I reallized before.
Greetings to "1 of 101" - maybe we can meet on a german
"autobahn".
As I believe all european cars are model 05 (produced april to june2005 and shipped thereafter to Bremerhaven, by truck
to Roush nearby the "Nuerburgring" and converted for Europe)
My car has beside the changes allready mentioned
another exhaust-system to confirm with the german
technical department (TUV)
This should make the car quiter, but in reality makes it much , much louder. (107dB-sorry, but I don´t know the american measurements for noise)
Looks different from all other coutries.
That`s enough for the first time.
Enjoy Life

Congrats on your purchase, "1 of 19"! I hope your experience will be a good one. Don't let anyone put any aftermarket alarms on, like Jeremy Clarkson of the BBC's "Top Gear" had done! :)

Americans use the "db" measurement of decibels. Yours seems to be loud! Must make the neighbors "happy" when you start it up!

Historically, Ford mass produces some "god-awful" piles of excrement, and their reputation has sometimes been negative. The term "tin lizzy" comes to mind. However, in recent years, they have made some great strides in quality. We own a small fleet of Ford trucks, and they are very tough and reliable. Ford products of today are much better than in the past. My work truck now has 145,000 hard miles on it, and I have only had two small problems in four years of ownership. I have used synthetic Mobil 1 since it was new, and always warm it up. It doesn't burn any oil. In contrast, your GT is obviously built with greater care than their mass-produced line of trucks, so I think your GT will hold up well.

As an American, my sincere wish is that your ownership experience is very rewarding. Congratulations and good luck.

Just for fun, I tried this computer translation- How close is it?
