Official return of the 5.0!

Keep that pen & check book handy.
I'm thinking your next car will be reveiled at Detroit 2010 NAIAS.
Wish I could say more, But it's only a few days.

That is just plain mean!

Don't mean to be, just self preservation.
Don't know if offical words out on it or not yet.
Don't want to be a leak that gets pluged.
I know it was just in a cover shot for one of the Mustang/Musle/5.0/etc. Mags.
The hot little buggy is Planned to hit the stands & 2010 NAIAS sametime.
It's just if you have a FGT & Gt500 you may want to add little sister to the family.
Low production volumes and all

The base 5.0L will be a tremendous value. Any potential cars that slot between the base GT and the GT500 will be an interesting reincarnation of prior names. :lol I'm just gonna say that the single target car for any models not GT500 or base model will NOT be a Camaro or Challenger...

BMW M3? Surely not the c6? Can Ford get the performance of an 911 s out of a new oem Mustang?:eek

C6 begins and ends as a two seat sports car, so that's out. Porsches are much more upmarket.

Either way its good news. I was strictly comparing performance figures when I listed a few different vehicles. Its great to hear Ford is going after competitors with the entire packages, looks interior and performance!:thumbsup

Mustang outsells Camaro for 2009

With the 5.0 and the various improvements, I would think that the gap will be wider in the Mustangs favor......

As the respective price points move up and equalize, I think a key point of differentiation will be back to live axle vs. independant rear suspension. Many folks (even here in the frozen north with poor roads) still prefer the live axle alternative.

GT500 stays with the 5.4L S/C
But RUMOR HAS IT Shelby is going to make a little sister to that with a 5.0 package.
It should show up any day now at the 2010 NAIAS

Ordered. Black, manual, HIDs, 3.73s, 19s. Francesca inherits the SHO and we're turning in her Fusion. When I was a kid I badly wanted a Calypso Blue 5.0 Fox Body GT. Finally gettin a 5.0. I will definitely listen to Vanilla Ice in it.

Awesome. I just saw the 5.0 California Special at B-J. That motor looks sweet!

I hear the Track Pack won't be out for a while, though....probably not an issue on Detroit streets, though!

I've got a 2010 V6 rental here in Scottsdale....impressed with the interior improvements vs my dad's 2007 model.

Yeah, the biggest difference is in the interior. I'm still not a huge fan of the gauges, but the materials quality and the overall layout of the interior is just leagues ahead of the competition. I can't wait to see what the engine is like. I haven't heard it in person yet but in the vids it sounds amazing.

We were lucky enough to hear Mark fire up the 2011 mule he brought to the FGT dinner on Thurs. It sounds awesome for a stocker! You're gonna love it....

It would look great next to my 87 Vert and 91 331 TT/T56/Griggs notchback!

Who would have thought in 1990 that twenty years later, the SHO, ZR1, and 5.0 would all be back?

Your gas mileage is gonna' suck .... :rofl

Definately not me, with a garage full of 'old stuff', but what a great problem to have. Wonderful that F recognizes unique competitive advantage and capitalizes on the value of some of its past performance legacy, something that a few of the other OE's just don't have!

Imagine all those early ninties Toyota owners out there lookin' to 'rekindle their dream car experience' with the next-gen Corolla?? :ack

When is it going to be delivered? Have you received pricing yet?
