He's a bit prickly and I like his show, but the show and news articles are targeted at the Brit/European market. He is going to pander to their interests and stroke the "America bad, UK great" fires because that is what media does now. It is not about objective reporting anymore but entertaining your audience.

Not that this is news to anyone here, but besides wanting our tourism dollars we are not the most popular kids on the block. His audience wants to hear that America is not all its cracked up to be. Look at him as an entertainer instead of a guy who "objectively" reviews cars and you will find it as funny as I do. :cheers

Believe me, I would. This "America is the worst shithole in the world" thing is not a new deal with him. He's been writing that garbage on the back page since I lived there 15 years ago. It's not a funny ha ha thing with him. Look up his post-Katrina article.

I find nothing amusing about using an auto rag as an excuse to foment anti-American sentiment. Last I checked, I've never seen an American who makes a living pissing on GB the way this guy does the US.

DBK's right on about Clarkson. I have really tired of his anti American diatribes. Furthermore, every new car with some grunt is always "incredible" and the power is "seemless and so linear." He re uses the same old $h!t on every episode, and people tune in for this?
I know Neilda has written that Clarkson's an ok guy when you know him, and I suspect a lot of this drivel is for ratings, but it sure gets tiresome after a while. He comes off as a condescending know it all who doesn't believe in anything except his own overblown opinions.
