New Transaxle Cooler **Pre-announce**

Trans Cooler

My local Ford dealer located and installed the Ford Racing transaxle cooler on my '05 GT. I am not unhappy with anything related to it. The cooler, lines and brackets are "factory" fit. I downloaded the instructions from the this web site. It is so simple to install that I am not sure if the instructions are needed.

I agree GWB

I agree GWB I did not need any direction with the Ford Kit. I felt the quility was quite good. And see no reason to drop the belly pan to install it?

MR2Race,

How did you accomplish step 10 without removing the pan? Isn't it a real tight fit getting in there from the top??

The cooler is now available for ordering. Details and ordering information may be found at this location http://www.cooltechllc.com/prod01.htm. Thank you for all of the interest.

I just received the trans cooler kit from Kendall. Im looking for advice regarding a Ricardo fluid change. The kit came with one quart of XT-75W90-QGT. Should I go ahead and do a full oil change? I have 8,000 miles with only one track day on the trans.

You should only change your trans fluid if your GT has recently been covered with dirt & dust!!

I would. Good chance to clean metal spicules off the filter and magnet. Could be more of that from the first 8k miles since new than the next 8k miles. Takes 4 quarts.

If you do, take a look at post #46 in this thread for couple tips:
