Hi all,

I've been lurking for a good while, finally registered a few weeks ago, and now, as of yesterday, I have parked a Heritage GT in my garage!! I've already started to buy some 'toys' for it, including an unopened Portfolio book, the Key encasement and mats from Andrew at Exoticare, and one other VERY SPECIAL SURPRISE (which I am sadly not at liberty to speak of yet, but THANK YOU ANDREW!!) from him as well!! :cheers

Because of time spent acquiring a bit of a mod addiction on some of the other forums, I just know that I'll end up with at least two other mods. The first, maybe just a pulley, but quite likely I'll end up Whipple-ing [is that a word??:rofl] it in the end. The second, well, I'm closely following the threads relating to Shadowman's exciting new projects! :banana

You all already know this, but, THIS CAR IS AMAZING!! I couldn't possibly be happier (well maybe after a Shadowman touch :thumbsup). It handles, drives, accelerates like a dream! It would be nice to gather a little (ok a LOT) less attention on the road, but on the other hand, until I got one, I was one of the gawkers too!! :biggrin:biggrin:biggrin

But in the meantime, I just wanted to say thank you to all of you on the forum for the wealth of information that can only come from a group of like minded enthusiasts who enjoy a common theme! The camaraderie and banter is entertaining as well and I look forward to being a part of it!! :party

welcome aboard! The heritage is a great color scheme .. draws a bunch of attention and its easier for people to "Barney Fife" you so be careful when you're cruising down the highway.

Transaxle cooler and axle bolts (1 and 2) on the mods list. IMHO.

Then power upgrade.

Have fun ..

:cheers

Greetings,
I changed your status to GT Owner.
WELCOME aboard, this forum as you have already observed is not like most others.
It is dedicated to owners and team members. If you find this site helpful, please consider becoming a $upporting member.
Cheers,
daniel

Welcome to the family

I appreciate the kind words and the fact that you enjoy some of the information as shared.

This is a unique Forum through which many great relationships will be created as well as a wealth of knowledge shared by all. I encourage you to materially participate by becoming a paid member at some level because all machines need to be oiled for them to survive the test of time.

Now as for your latest personal tweak to your gal as completed by Andrew; I agree that the process unfolded very nicely.

It has been evidence through pictures over the past several weeks and the hard pieces are to arrive at my facility very soon. I will share my up close and personal feelings as well.

You takes care and enjoy your gal

All the best

Shadowman

Welcome indeed:cheers. You are smarter than most, you have bought the color option that is bound to become the most valuable over time.

Thank you all for the kind welcome. DP, I will follow your advice in relation to the prioritization of my mods (well, the expensive ones anyway :wink)

Shadowman, kind words yes, but all of it most deservedly so. And yes, Andrew's work IS stellar! I cannot wait to receive the goodies!!

HH, I was really torn with Black, Red or Heritage. In the end though, I figured that I'm planning on keeping it for a very long time, and the Heritage is just that much more special to me. But really, I couldn't possibly go wrong regardless of what colour I ended up with! :thumbsup

And BONY, thanks for changing my status. I did try to get a membership, but it appears that my brain is not functioning well (I was playing with the car and reading the books etc etc etc all night). I couldn't figure out where to become a paid subscriber. :confused I just know that when you show me, it will be patently obvious, but there you go. -- edit, figured it out, finally!! Easy as pie, just like I thought! :cheers

didn't you have one :lol

And welcome Superfly - where are you located at?

Welcome ! :cheers

Thanks Mr. Pockets and tmcphail. I can't wait to get some plates so I can actually drive it farther than the end of my driveway!! :lol

didn't you have one :lol

And welcome Superfly - where are you located at?

It's funny, when I drive my Black Turbo 911, I find that Black is the fastest colour, but on the Ford GT, it seemed that Heritage is the fastest :box: :wink

Mad in NC, I'm about as far north as the GT makes it way (maybe). There are a few others here in town too though. Anyway, the air is thin here (thank goodness for Supercharging!!), the roads are bumpy, and the race track is a LONG WAY AWAY. But having said that, I saw a Maserati MC12 on the road here yesterday, but I'm sure that it was only in town to watch the Indycar race (so we do have ONE race track, but it's an airport all year until the one big race event - that should be a big enough hint, right?)

Well, Andrew is a clue, isn't it??

I would guess the land of Crown Royal, Labatts, hockey and maple syrup.
What is my prize?

Excellent, but maybe too easy. And you mean Andrew Revai, not Andrew, Alberta. The Andrew you reference is about 3500 kms east of me. Your prize is that I've figured out how to make my paid membership happen and you don't have to take baby steps walking me through it! It's DONE!! (Believe me, that would have been time consuming, you may not realize how valuable your prize really is :biggrin)

Have you been to Andrew, Alberta?? That is a SMALL TOWN!!

didn't you have one :lol

Yeah, I had one... too many Fife's around here kept calling LE when I drove past, drone of the accufab, graceful lines ... all logo'd out. "theres a bald guy driving his RACECAR down the street!" :willy:willy:willy:willy :lol

I'll get another one someday soon. I have two other projects in front of it .. then cr@p! I can't believe I'm gonna admit this... I'll buy another Heritage. :bored:bored:bored You know GT's are like Potato chips .. you can't stop at one. :biggrin

Glad to have you as a fellow GT owner! Welcome aboard.
