the car is absolutely gorgeous. The big bonus here is no more sleepless nights pondering on which color to choose! hehe

Ford was very welcoming and super nice. Kristen and Kristen (yes not a typo) went out of their way to answer my questions.

Incredible. I'm glad I got my car when I did and I've had a ton of fun but this is a seriously cool new offering. Damn!!

and we thought this would never be an option! I love it but I am VERY happy with my liquid red GT!

I replied to the email as soon as I got it expressing my interest in the Liquid Carbon (as in “Hell yes!”). This afternoon I missed a call from Ford wanting to discuss the details further but they were gone by the time I called back. Did anyone else get a call and what was it about? It’s too early to be picked.

yes, the Concierge goes over the base price and that your build time goes out the window with the liquid carbon spec. The powers that be will make a decision and those that expressed interest will be notified early March.

Love the look...but I know carbon fiber doesn’t like UV rays. Of course it’s been clear coated to protect it (just like the carbon fiber stripes on my 2019 car), yet I still find myself nervous about all that exposed surface area of carbon fiber.

But that‘s just me. I‘m sure Ford wouldn’t offer this option if it couldn’t stand up to real-world driving conditions. Can’t wait to see it in person.
May I ask what the carbon fiber stripes option costs?

Today the congierge said that it will start with an msrp of $752,000. They are still working on the options and details and also the liquid carbon may be getting its own 'ordering kit'....that's probably why they need the extra time before announcing the first allocations in early March instead of February 12 like it was first reported I believe.

oops i realized I went off tangent and didn't answer your question :/ The carbon fiber stripes are part of the Carbon Series and I'm not quite sure of the premium on that?

Took me awhile to get this video up trying to figure out how to attach pictures and video on the forum. I did not have pro photography gear with me so forgive if it’s not perfect.

It was great seeing the crowd of people around the Ford GT this past weekend at the Chicago Auto Show.

My favorite part is seeing and hearing kids and younger adults be inspired by a machine that was created by automobile enthusiasts for enthusiasts.

They told me $760k.

I was told 750,000 to 760,000 with up to 20,000 in "other" options (stripes/ti lugs/harness bar) and another 30,000 depending upon which interior that you select. Final decision on allocations in mid March.

Canibl told me he heard the car was at the Chicago Auto Show so he grabbed the next flight out, saw the car & flew right home. Now that's enthusiasm!

For clarification, the individuals who received the e-mail regarding interest in this option have until today to respond. The follow up phone call is to just verify your response and discuss pricing. I would take everything else you are told at this point with a grain of salt. Once again, they can only do what they can with the information they are given. As of today, it's just like any other car save for one thing - option of dual stripes or thing single center stripe (looks great, but sacrilege to cover the chevron). Upgrade interiors, calipers, lugs, etc. As of today.

It is a monumental pain in the ass to get it this perfect. I couldn't find a deviation anywhere of maybe more than 1mm.

Instead of Xpel PPF, I think I will wrap mine in gloss carbon :).

I also heard that production will be only 12 /year. As said above it is very hard to get the perfect body panels to this.
But don't worry the panels that don't make the selection continue to be used in everyday production.
Amazing and extraordinary work by MM.
