I live vicariously through Camilo.

3am? Only if I wake-up at 12pm.

Keith, explains those dark circles under your eyes .... :biggrin

What is really interesting is listening to Camilo (in his own avant garde way) describe the functionality of the original cars and trying to translate it into the new car. I remember reading how he stressed having a GT40 around to create off of, and he certainly hit the mark. It has to be really rare to have an "artist" be able to transform his work into something that engineers can make right for real world use (and in this case abuse). I know it's been said before, but to take the original, create a new, user friendly version that's 11/10s in size, do it on a strict budget and super limited time frame and then have the car be the home run it is? Nothing short of remarkable.

Is that a 512 BB in the background near the end of the vid?

No longer available?

Yes, it's another of Camilos' cars.

I think we left at a bit after 5 am. That's what we like to call "Friday" here.

Camilo is the real deal

When we went up to watch our car being built at SSV we got the chance to go to Camilo's studio albeit at a more "leave it to beaver" family time than 3 a.m.. My son was fascinated with the studio and the fiat. He also snuck into the nuddy room as he calls it. I think he wants to take Camilo to school for show and tell or career day. What a fantastic talent and a great guy to boot.

What a great designer and artist!
We owners are all very lucky to have had such a man of passion for form and functional perfection as Camilo. As I have said before Camilo and Fred's engineering team together built the the pinnacle of automotive excellence. (IMO)

But hey, I'm biased, I am lucky enough to own one.... Thanks Ford!

Very cool. Thank you. :cheers

Another Friday night hard at work right now.

right now 67 comments from the "best of the internet" - Think I'll log on tomorrow when sober :rofl Franky or Larry - dare ya to do it tonight :cheers

We know our friend and desinger Camilo, Fred, Kip and Mgmt at Ford, no Jay Mays, no Ted or Theodore - what's his name (the guy who is trying to sell the next GT as a Marketing VP) :rofl

Bottom line - owner of only one 4,038 works of art that roll everyday (if ya drive them), fun cars and to me the pride of the garage stable and local roads!
