Pretty ASAP if possible, a company I used before and had been good to me, seems to have dropped the ball on a car I purchased almost 4 weeks ago....
I'll need pick up next week and of course a descent price.... The other company was $1200 so something in that realm would be appreciated...

UPDATE as of 01/31/11
Anyone in NY state who knows a local transporter that can get up to Tupper Lake in the 12986 zip code and pick up a 1968 Chevelle for me and bring it to a more desirable hub/location for cross country pickup? ANYONE? GT OWNER?
Here's what I'm told... Everyone has priced the trip out correctly, from $1200-$1500 but the truck drivers choose the easy money from the postings. Apparently Tupper Lake is up there so no one is going up to get it. The gentleman I purchased the car from would like it gone this week.... YOu guys have a storm coming in in the next 48 hours.....So, any ideas I'll consider and pay of course with in reason ...... LMK :)

I recently had transport through Angels Transport, Houston to mid CT. 1145.00/

1200 from NY to Calif seems very low, almost to good to be true.

I would guess that enclosed coast to coast is typically closer to $1800 or so, but Shelby would probably know best.

I shipped a 69 vette last october from NY to Me and it cost $1200 enclosed through Door to Door Transport.... $200 to them via credit card and $1000 cash to the driver on arrival.... car came in excellent condition.... still have the receipt..... just wrote it off actually :biggrin

Good to know. I'll have to remember them for the future and I thought 1145 from Houston to CT was good. Thanks.

Well, I'm getting the run around right now but they were good to me on the first try :) I believe they're a broker and they farm out to truckers..... they get a percentage for booking the transpo and then the driver gets the cash....

Jay Leno praises Intercity to the skies...'mentioned in case whatever deal is in the works currently hits the skids...
 
Angels Transport also brokered it out. The delivery driver was top notch. Just can't remember who was the brokered transporter

There is a big nationwide transporter that had a west coast base in Chandler AZ called Reliable. I have never used them so I cant vouch for the company, but they do seem to know what they are doing plus they travel nationwide. Thanks and I did check with them at a whopping $2700, they are a great carrier and I could see using them for pricey cars but at that quote, it's about 25% of what I paid for the car.... I am told they treat their cargo better then themselves/employees.... and the trucks are completely awesome looking
