My daily driver is a CTS- V which I love. Lately, I have been driving my daughter's Accord while she is in NY. The concept of driving a full week on a half tank of gas is so odd. Thought I had a gauge problem, but I digress.

Today I drove the Mac Spider because it was nice. Before you freak out, I park underground with security, and no one parks next to me.

At lunch I went home and it was such a nice day I could not resist driving my GT back to work.

Driving the GT downtown, it never ceases to amaze me that a 7 year old car gets as much or MORE attention than my new Mac or my 458. Name another car that can do that. I cannot. Not to mention, unlike the others the GT is appreciating.

I feel like a rock star driving the GT here in CA.

So imagine in Virginia.

Took mine to work today, got a few thumbs up from people going the other direction.

I've gotten a thumbs up from a CHP officer passing me!

Only car that can do that for me, is the Enzo. But I'm pretty sure I'll never own that one...

I agree. Love my FGT! One of the all time best!

I live to far from the office but I could be tempted to drive home just for the plesure of driving.
Monday : took the normal car a Touareg 4.2 V8 diesel
Tuesday : took the Ford GT
Wednesday : picked up the Mclaren MP4
Thursday : Lamborghini Aventador
Friday : SLS Amg Roadster
Saturday :.... Ended up washing them all

It's really a pleasure to go to work

I believe it, Ed. Some of my California experiences:

Gas station attendant at Big Sur, "Ferrari's and Lamborghini's are a dime a dozen here, but you NEVER see a Ford GT!"

Guy at a photo stop on Highway 1, "Wow, I can't believe my eyes! Do you know that Ford GT's are like unicorns? Some people say they exist, but no one's actually seen one in person!"

County Sheriff in a Crown Vic at a traffic light (after tailing me for literally 20 miles coming into San Luis Obispo), "Is that REALLY a Ford?" I'll trade you straight across!!!"

I've driven ny GT in NV, AZ, UT, TX, LA, MS, NC & VA & the attention in CA is, for an unknown reason, phenomenal. You cannot drive, park, get gas, etc without a mob. Wait til you come to the Rally in Sonoma. Get ready to pose for photos & sign some autographs!
