That was cool! Some of the landings were pretty rough; glad I wasn't a mini-passenger!

Fun vid. Thanks for posting!

Some of those are getting close to 1/4 scale. Lots of skill flying those things.

Enjoyed it, thanks for the posting!

Somewhere there's a vid of a mini B52 that carries an X-1(?) aloft and launches it - where upon the X-1 comes to life and flies off as well!

If I weren't so lazy I'd find the darn thing and post it...but I am...so I won't...

Haven't seen the B-52 drop an X-1 but this B-29 does a nice job.

Maybe it was an X-15 or whatever, Steve, but, trust me, that vid is out there!

Pockets, I have always trusted you.

After reading Chip’s recent post participating in an event like this will be the closest I ever get to piloting an airplane.

Chris,

I agree! Yet as a youngster this is one of the hobbies I tried. I am sure we have several R/C pilots here and they will atest to the fact it is very difficult to fly these planes. Going away from you is easy but when it is flying your direction it is much more difficult. I tried before the rise in video games. I would think people are now much more adept at working the transmitter as it is similar to video game controllers. My favorite part of this hobby was building the planes. I taxied the plane quite a bit. lol

Good stuff Ralphie!

Thugboat, I got into RC airplanes when I was in my 20's but got out of it just before the FAA forced me out. Oh the humanity!

Looks like tail draggers are hard to land at scale too.... and then ground loop.
