First real world drive today (other than quick round the block trips for friends), I had to take the car to the DMV for a VIN verification and to be smogged. A couple of observations (and sorry for the long time owners, you already know this, but I can't contain my enthusiasm)

Mirrors: Before I bought the GT I read some posts about side mirrors and the lack of visibility which had me worried. After now driving the car through some city traffic I have to say that I had nothing to worry about. It's like looking at an HD TV screen (thin and wide).

Vision: I love the front and back view while you're sitting at the light. Heat is rising from the front and back, gives everything that hazy look - it's like a dream! ;)

Later I pulled into the DMV for the the VIN verification (you just wait outside with your car). The DMV instructor jokes "you here for your driving test?" basically wanting a ride, meanwhile all the driving students were coming out from their cars to check it out. Hilarious.

Now open the door and bump your head and your in the "FOR LIFE CLUB":thumbsup ENJOY GTJOEY1314:thumbsup

ENJOY THE RIDE !!
I am counting the days till my first spring ride !

Well Ron with 8-10" of rain since last friday up here, no salt left, so we are finally close, hope mother nature does not screw up the progress, by getting cold again with precip.

Pretty much sums it up. Please let us know how many times you go into the garage and peek in asking yourself, is this real?

Life is good!! Congrats...

I just joined the "For Life Club" tonight - the head bump. My 06 GT was delivered to me last week and I've been too busy to drive it but every so often take a look in the garage. That car is a work of art. What a beauty.
I appreciate the enthusiasm, information. and comraderie the members share and look forward to putting that car on the road soon.
