Short notice to anyone interested, but FYI:

Dennis Clark, of Great Falls, VA, has organized an area GT gathering at the Katie's Cars'n'coffee this coming Saturday morning (25 August). https://celebrategreatfalls.org/cars-and-coffee/

We'll show up there about 6:00 am, stay until 9 am and show our cars. We expect about a half dozen FGTs to show up based on responses so far. John Bailey may even bring out his 2017 NFGT. Then we will take a 1.5-2hr scenic drive to the historic Inn at Willow Grove in Orange, Virginia for lunch and afternoon camaraderie. https://innatwillowgrove.com

Some folks plan to stay for dinner and overnight, maybe go tour Montpelier (James Madison's estate) or the central Virginia wine region (I'm more of a beer, brats & kraut kind of guy). https://www.montpelier.org

After cars and coffee we drove the Virginia country roads for 5 hours and a 2 hour lunch break. Thanks to everyone involved. Great times for sure!!!

A great time was had by all. Brian, thanks to you and Nancy for organizing the event and hosting the lunch today. Chris, thanks for arranging for the group parking for us at Katie's C&C. John, thanks for bringing your NFGT--that's the first one to show up at Katie's C&C so far--and for generously handing out the Hot Wheels replicas (in silver, of course!) to the gawking kids around it. Carl, thanks for driving from New Jersey to round out this event (I'll have to remember to wear earplugs if I'm following you next time!). Jeez, all I had to do was show up!
