Matech/GT Forum LeMans Sponsor Thread

Gentlemen,

In addition to DBK and myself, a couple other GT Forum members have indicated an interest in supporting the Matech Team Ford GT at LeMans so that the car could race with a Ford GT Forum logo on it. It would be really cool but it's also really expensive. I'm not delusional and during these tough times I know this is a longshot, but I'm going to sticky this thread to gauge interest.

I will commission and fund Project 321 to design and build a nice sponsor "Ford GT-Return to LeMans-2010" machined billet dash plaque that will be sent to everyone who pledges $500 or more to this effort.

€20,000 is a lot of money, about $27,000. It would be nice to support the team and, win or lose, be a part of history. DBK indicated that we would have about 200 cm². The logo below is about that size. It not only looks great, the car will undoubtably be faster with us behind it. :cheers

We are 1/4th of the way to making LeMans history. If we can pull this off, it will be a first for an Automobile Forum. This is not just about a logo on a car, it's about supporting an effort and a dream that we all share. When the Ford GT hits 200+ down the Mulsanne, let's be on board. We need 20 more members to give $1000 or 40 members to give $500.

This thread is less than 24 hours old and we are already over one third of the way to the finish line. In addition to the Project 321 "Return to LeMans-2010" dash plaque, Dave and I are working on some other cool incentives for GT Owners who support this effort. Become a "Matech LeMans Team Member".

In addition to the cool stuff we're going to do for you, when you pledge $500 toward this effort, your personal "cool factor" goes up by $850. So you might make a little money on this! :biggrin

For the rest of your life, you'll be able to say (with a dash plaque to back it up) that when the Ford GT returned to LeMans after a 41 year absence......"I was one of the Matech Ford GT Teams Sponsoring Members". How cool is that.
