LeMans 2016 Pictures & Stories here please. .John and I are still in France. So many memories and pictures to share. Here's a few to get started. I know everyone else has tons to share let's see them!! I sure hope Ford Performance is putting together a commemorative DVD!! Most of the Ford design team and Executives were there Throughout the days and nights.

The first picture is an emotional Bill Ford after the race.. Even Bobby Rahal was in our suite. The young guy in the picture with me is Billy Johnson who is the other US driver that was in the 66 car. He also races the GT 350 R and is doing quite well with that.

You're going to hear from other members it was the cliche trip of a lifetime, it truly was. Unforgettable !!! It was so great to share the moments with our fellow members that made it that much more special

Hey Andy. We really missed you!! I have three or four of those number 66 t-shirts. I wore them every day for good race Karma. I gotta tell you.. The Ford Team raincoat got a lot of use throughout the race week !! Here's a shot of the 68 car coming into the pits to go to Victory Lane

Here's a picture of the track and race informational board. At the bottom you can see the penalty infoming the Ferrari team to come in And correct the problem, which they totally ignored and never came in. The Ford GT had some problems with lights earlier in the race and they came in to correct them.

There were some cool Lego models, small ones and a large one. HF3 Indy &I hanging out and the hospitality suite.

Fun times for all!! We even had Ford chocolate in LeMans!! There truly was a little Ford blue and all of us !!! :biggrin

The stars were truly aligned for this event. The LeMans organization had this display called Americans at LeMans. They had the original 1,2 & 3 1966 cars there!!.

The Holy Grail of endurance racing. The Ford name Will reappear on the cup !!

This bad boy showed up to join in the parade laps !!

The hospitality suite was awesome! ! It was full of cool GT art and if you got bored you could play pool on a Mustang pool table or race a GT 40 on a giant slot car track. .!!

Oh.. and a movie theater with continuous showings of all kinds of car related stuff. .car movies, documentarit's etc.. this was a decent place to sleep if you spent the night at the track as many hard core fans did... I woke up at 4 or 5am during " Gone in 60 seconds " I was at the point in the movie where they snatched "Eleanor " ..How fitting!!!

Frank Pikul "testing" on the simulator for next year's driving squad.

Dario Franchitti, 3 time Indy 500 winner. Very friendly and approachable. We chatted about his career ending crash in 2013 in Houston. That was a nasty accident, if you ever get a chance to see the video.

The best part of the Ford schwag that we received in our goody bag. I actually read the whole book on the flight home. Wonderful period photos of the GT40 program in the 60's.
