Is Trailex the best trailer for the GT

I used my friends Trailex to pick up my GT and thought it was great. Are there other/better options? I’ve been searching for a used Trailex but have not had much luck. Looking for options and suggestions on where to look or if anyone knows of one for sale I’d appreciate the lead. Thanks!

A lot of guys have Jimglos here and I have an inTech. Look into those two for a good start.

Good luck!

I had some issues on my Trailex enclosed trailer with some parts of the trailer suspension. Broken leaf spring and a busted spring shackle. If you look at a used one might want to check out those parts on the trailer.

I have an all aluminum Montrose Trailer for my GTs. I love it as it’s the second one from them I own. It opens on all 4 sides, two spares, dexter axles, L track tie downs and sway control. Cost is around 20k and it only weighs about 1800 lbs.

Here a friends 28' 10.5' bumper pull (with water/gas tanks/generator/AC) by Intech
bench can be a bed as well.

Real nice bit of kit and also has the escape side opening door.

I have a message to a guy with a Montrose from Rennlist. Any dimensions or anything special needed to accommodate a Ford GT?

Yes, for the new GT it needs to be the wider trailer they make (fenders mostly inboard of the walls). I still have my old Montrose trailer which was built for a Porsche GT3, it has the sidewalls inboard of the fenders. I modified it to fit the 05/06 but it was too narrow for the new GT. Montrose Trailers are pretty much all built to spec and the GT is a very wide car with unique dimension requirements for the doors, approach angles and tie downs. I would be wary of buying one not built specifically for the new GT, that’s why I had them build my second. If you talk to Gary over there, he could probably explain a little more in detail as he just built mine last summer. Let me know if you need any other info.

Any chance you’d consider selling your trailer you use for the 05/06?

I would sell it, I actually planned on selling it… Then got spoiled to having two trailers!
