It makes you wonder how can humanity being so small in perspective could have created problems of galactic proportions. Turn you speakers up and your resolution to 720HD.

Pretty neat!

Which is greater, the number of galaxies in the universe, or our national debt in dollars?

Speaking of National Debt, my 11 year old had a great idea to get rid of the debt. He thinks the Govt. should hire David Blaine the magician to magically get rid of all the problems...Don't get me started and stay off politics...

Awesome, thanks

It's incredible. I often ponder about the size of the universe. I should get a job really! :)

If we took a ride in Concorde it would take us 75,000 years (at full speed) to reach the nearest planet outside of our system - I just don't see how man is ever going to know or understand what's out there.

Great post, love the images. I'm not sure what "galactic problems" we have. Honestly, if you look at our history (humans) this is basically the same shit, different day scenario that has been played out at least 10 different times. Things like this post remind me why it wont do any good to get wound up about it anyway. Kumbaya, MF!

Agreed, and somehow seeing this video minimizes everything else. As my career was getting built, I used to have tough days and I would go for walks at lunch to clear my mind. I would walk past illegal aliens hunched over for 10 hours a day making $60 picking crops and it put things in perspective.

My biggest issue today is raising kids in a society with declining morals.

+1, but more than morals are declining!
