how do you GT on the weekends? I've seen inside the front bonnet and the space for the soft duffel bag. With the wife aboard for weekend trips (or Ford GT gatherings), can you lay clothes flat in the area above the duffel storage area?

Some use those "suction cup" hangers on the rear window to hang clothes behind the seats. (Shorter people have a big advantage here as they have more space in back of the seats 'cause they set their seats further forward!:biggrin)

A smaller overnight bag can go beneath the wifey's legs ahead of the seat.

As far as laying clothes flat atop the duffel, I wouldn't put much there due to lack of "boot lid" clearance. (I wouldn't FORCE it shut, IOW.)

Push come to shove, UPS or FEDEX can be your friend.

The Ford car cover bag makes a nice travel bag for clothes and it fits in the boot nicely ...:wink

I'd plan on giving ALL the space to what's-her-name...I'll carry a spare pair of boxers 'n' socks in my shirt pocket. Even with this sacrifice on my part, having the wife along does have undeniable advantages.:banana... just wanna be sure she'll go along for the ride... so to speak. bma2

For Longer Trips

Take 5 pair of underwear, 5 pair of socks - throw a pair of each away each day - at the end of the 4th day, go to a store and buy 5 more pair of each. They'll fit almost anywear.

:thumbsup :lol :lol :thumbsup

The less a woman has to pack the better the trip. :wink

Just watched Iron Man now on DVD.....See how he does it with his Audi.

Everyone has a chase vehical don't they.

I have travelled a bit with the GT and use 'vacuum bags' see below:

I'm sure if you Google enough, you'll find them in the USA. They're basically ziplock style bags with a one way valve, put some clothes in, zip them up and then sit on them to get the air out. Extremely efficient and long-lasting - but, the key feature is space saving. Also in a wet location (the front trunk can get wet when opened after some rain) they keep your gear dry too.

I used a bit of space behind the seats, and a soft grip type bag under the passengers knees.

In terms of travelling with a person of a female persuasion - no chance! The amount of make-up, hair dryers, polyfiller etc would sink the Titanic. Give me a girl who just wears jeans and a T shirt!
