How Loud Is Too Loud?


I'll be damned if I didn't brake the baffles on the the hand welded Flowmasters last weekend. It is really amazing how much air these cars push.

There is a lot of expansion and contraction with the SS. The extreme heat also make the thin metals more pliable. Add the vibration and power pulses and it's just a prime situation for metal fatigue ......:ack
 
Fastcat is right. Also, due to the mid-engine layout the mufflers will be much closer to the exhaust ports of the engine than a typical front engined car resulting in much greater temperature swings.
