I checked with Eddie Vs - they have a private dining room with patio available, but they require a minimum of $2000 total spending. This works out to about $110 per head providing everyone shows up. What do we think? The alternate is simply to make a reservation in the main restaurant.
 
I personally am happy with David's private room idea, but if a few folks don't show, or if you don't want to eat/drink much, we might have trouble meeting the minimum per person.

its a tuesday so I dont think it will that busy, we should be fine with making a reservation in the main room!

Everyone, Eddie v won't take reservations for more than 8 in the dining room so I do you want me to go ahead and reserve the party space? Tomy, parking will be in the cul-de-sac at Domain which is essentially just opposite the restaurant
 
Guys I just got back from Santa Fe and I'm afraid that Tuesday is out for me. I always thought it would be Sunday. Hope to see everyone some other time.

If they hold us to the $2000 min for the room it sounds like we could get stuck with some big bills. Maybe they would forego the minimum on a slow weeknight? Wanna explore other venues? Brio or Yardhouse looked good too, and I'm sure other options could work.

This is typically so they don't overwhelm the waitstaff. Ask them if we can have TWO tables of 8 next to each other.

I agree that $2k is an issue. Most places around here waive that during the week.

after getting screwed around endlessly by some moron at Eddie V ("we'll have to ask our Area Manager Sir of you want to reserve two tables for 8...."). I have now booked us in at Brio - no problem, no hassle, no minimum charge. Eddie Vs loss is Brio's gain, plus Brio is ever so slightly closer to where we'll all be parking. Tuesday the 22nd at 7.30 pm.

Get it on. I'm glad we didn't try to have this dinner during this weekend (spring break) because the Gulf freeway (I 45) was stop and go from Galveston to the Woodlands (north of Houston) every day this week from 3pm until 11pm. Because of the economy, price of gas, travel to Mexico problems, and everyone wanting to drive to the beach for cheap fun in the sun , traffic around Houston has been impossible. I could not get to Houston literally this weekend and I live 30 miles south. Crazy times in Texas with beautiful weather. Look out summer. Tomy
 
Can someone give me the address so that Mr. Garmin can show me the way to dinner tomorrow night?
