I would just like to introduce myself, as I have just boughta 2006 GT in Tungsten without stripe. I only collected the car a few days ago, so have had little chance to familiarise myself with it, but first impressions are....well its everything I had hoped for and a whole lot more.
I sold my beautiful Ferrari BB512 to buy it, and had planned on buying a Diablo 6.0 but the seller backed down, then the GT became discreetly available, and I pounced, as the GT40 is my all time favourite. I definitely made the right decision on the GT
Just browsing here I can see it is a great forum and resource, I look forward to getting to know everyone, and my GT, I can tell it will demand some respect.

Thanks for the warm welcome:thumbsup
In answer to the questions, there are just two GT's in Ireland including this one, so yes a very rare car here.
I only now realise tnat it is a rare colour combo, but turns out that Tungsten(or black) without stripes is also my favourite.
The Irl in my name is just an abbreviation for Ireland, used in a postal context, this is my username on all forums.

Steve, Welcome and Congratulations on your purchase. Great picture. The Hook is set and you will love this Forum as it is different than any you've been on before. You did purchase the right car! Be careful in cold weather and enjoy it. Tomy Hamon

Steve, I'll have to put a pint of Guinness (my favorite as most everyone on the forum knows) down the hatch tonight in your honor sir! :beer2: Congradulations on an awesome purchase.

Welcome Steve. I like the color choice. Fastest and most valuable.

EJ (AtomicGT) will state that you picked the proper color. Welcome aboard.

Rally with St. Patrick

Steve,

This is great news. If things get really bad here and I need to move to Ireland, I will have two other owners to Rally with!

At the rate things are progressing here, the Ford GT may become commonplace in Ireland in a few years!

Chip

Fantastic, WELCOME:cheers

Congrats mate. Good on ya.

Great pic!! Congrats on the new ride!!

I am half Irish......the drinking half!! :beer2::beer2: :wink

Fantastic car and great for you in Eire! Be careful with those narrow, twisty roads! But what a car to drive those roads! Does the LOCKE BAR and RESTAURANT still exist by the river in Limerick? Spent many pleasant hours there, learning how to make a "Shamrock" in the foam head of the Guinness.
