So what, exactly, did you do to get a free tee shirt? Don't make me run your criminal background... spill the beans buddy?

When there was a group buy, I ordered the windshied film, thinking ahead, I ordered a second one, in case the first one was not installed correctly, or to replace in case of a scratch. I went to a professional window tinter which I have used on many commercials for brand new cars, and prototypes, which require dark tint to obscure the driver in a commercial(timmy know's exactly what I am talking about) in any case, my guy had nothing but trouble with the film. I know that calls were made, I dont know the extent of the convo, but he was not satisfied, and it shows on my car. I have bubbles everywhere, and I am thinking of removing it. Unfortunately, I passed the 2nd one I had to a dear friend on this Forum, and now I am stuck buying another 1. But not until they figure out what's the problems with it.

For you guys asking, my tinting guy just replaced all the stripes on my GT=H, which I purchased from CS, and no problems..excellent job.

So, I side with Bony.......customer satisfaction has to be prime reason to stay in business, as most of you know....success depends on it.

my 2 cent's

Gino

Hmmmm. Well, maybe I have an unusually good installer or the humidity in Florida helps with these things, but my film went on great and the installer had no problems. He probably spent all of 20 minutes putting it on. I have been happy with the film. Never spoke directly with the company so I cannot comment on the customer service.

+1

As I've stated B4, I ended up with a FEW very, very small imperfections around the "edges" here & there (TEENEY little "bubbles") ... and there IS an extreemely slight "haze" when looking thru the film if one really LOOKS for it ... but otherwise, 'no pblms at all.

It's very clear that was NOT the experience of others though...

Hate resurrecting such old threads, but better than starting one anew, right? I bought a sheet of the Proline film from Trent. Car is at the tint shop now redoing my XPEL clear film. I asked if he could do the windshield film as well. He's going to give it a try but wanted to speak with someone at Proline first. Website is no more and their phone number is disconnected. I assume these guys are long out of business?

Can anyone that had a GOOD experience with this stuff give me the contact info for their shop that installed their film?

My tint film friend did mine.He had no issues

Ron can you give me his contact info?

GT Guy had a windshield film (Clearplex) put on mine - works great! Contact them, as they had a sub do it, or contact sub -

Sub was:

Shadowart Window Tinting in Royal Oak, MI - (248) 767-4818 [email protected]

There is only one manufacturer of these skins but they are/were marketed under different names. Clearplex and pro line line were the most aggressive but pro line is now gone.
Ed I will send you the info on installing to pass on.

Thanks Trent!

Any good window tint should be able to do it. DO NOT let a body film place do it. That's where the problem lies.

Yep. Some rock guard installs use alcohol in the solution to evap the water. Windshield skins and tint use dish washing soap, preferably Sunlight, and water - no other additives.

Thanks for the info, Trent!

Will report back once I get the car back after SEMA.

And yes, Dr. Frank. I'm using a reputable tint shop in the area to do the work.
