I may of missed a post on it here, so anyway there is a Heritage on eBay as a "no reserve" auction. Should set a low benchmark for actual value.

Gulf-meister,

Probably need to run a car check to see if it has been repaired, but it is getting pretty good action, currently at $183K.

It is listed in the Registry. Checked posts from the member and car had clutch issues in the beginning.

This is the 2nd or 3rd time it's been on ebay in the last few weeks. The reserve was initially $209k. It was bid to $193k last time. Now it is on w/ no reserve, and the high bidder at $185k has a 100% bid history with this seller. Take what you will from that. As for the owner listed in the registry, that was the previous owner. The current owner bought it from a dealer in Miami I believe. At least that's what I am assuming from my results of "Googling" the VIN.

I asked the seller what his reserve was as well. In his response he provided his sales pitch by informing me the Heritage paint was a $30,000 option.

Yes, I corrected him on that the 1st time he ran it. I guess it wasn't convincing enough for him though since he is still claiming that.

Let's hope it hits $200k.

If memory serves, the paint option was $13,000 and not $30,000.

The member is listed in the registry as MIAMI GT7

PLEASE SuperB, don't cloud the issues with facts and logic!

I guess he is having a hard time understanding what the heritage option cost. His listing says $15k now. Current bid $190k+ and it has a couple days left. I think its safe to say it will trade around $200k. I think his auction would do better if the facts were correct and the aftermarket stickers were NOT on the car. Just my $.02.... I wish him the best of luck with his sale. Should sell this time. :thumbsup

$13,000?

I always thought it was $10K (not that it matters in the least!:lol).

Spirit, Bruce, Super B, et al, pls check your window stickers & clue us in! :secret:

it's $13K:biggrin

Well, I'll be doggoned! Thankee, sir! :thumbsup :cheers

No matter what the end result, it is a very rare sight to see a modern production car of 4000 units going up in price. Remember, Ferrari & Lamborghini cars start their life at numbers way above their list price, and then sell a few years later for under sticker and a few more years later half the sticker, and some models keep dropping to a quarter of the sticker. Only the Enzo has gone up over 20% since production ended, pretty good company to keep. I have to admit, I thought our cars would be worth a little over a $100,000 by now. And remember, this is eBay, where you usually don't sell a "real top notch" car anyway. I would imagine prices are a little higher at "real" dealers like Elite selling verified 100% perfect cars.

When I first approached a dealer in July 05, they had converted a GT to the Heritage colors and wanted $279K for the unique ownership. Dealer to remain anonymus, but paint, like jewelry, can often be expensive! :ack

You know, after all these cars and color combinations ect. There has not been one GT painted the Holman-Moody Bronze and Pink colors yet on the streets. Holman-Moody took 3rd place in the 1966 Le Mans. I would think a recreation of this paint combination by someone would be awesome! I know an owner in California with a white GT that also has a front bra would be a good candidate !!! :biggrin

I received correspondance from the son of the Holman-Moody enterprise and he indicated the pink flourescent paint was used on the front end of the car combined with a black light at the entrance of the pit at Le Mans so they could tell what car was coming in at night and be ready for it. It is in a previous old thread here about a year ago. :cheers

I wouldn't say the cars on Ebay are not "real top notch."

For instance, Elite, which you say has 100% perfect cars, just bought two GT's from Ebay sellers recently and are now offering them for sale.

I saw that too at the time. I was thinking then, holy shit, a Gulf colored car was going to cost me a fortune!

Wasn't the first Gulf paint job done by Galvin on a 2005? I think so... not 100% sure. Back when they did it the FGT's in Kal-fool-nia where going for way over MSRP.

I dont really think that he meant the cars on ebay were not "TOP NOTCH" but rather that alot of these high-end cars do not sell through a completed auction on ebay. As I have said many times, ebay is more of an advertising venue rather than an accurate example of what the prices are on Exotic cars. 90% of our inventory is sold outside of ebay. There are MANY top notch cars on ebay. Just gotta find them. There are also many NOT SO TOP NOTCH CARS on ebay as I have purchased them and then had to wholesale them at no profit or a loss as I will not sell questionable cars to my customers. Check any source you can find, there is nothing negative about any car that I have sold that I am aware of. I recently had a guy sell me a car with less than 800 miles that after I purchased it I found out the guy had some issue with the tranny and clutch. The guy knowingly sold it to me and with-held the information from me. Although the car was perfect, not a mark on it, and very low mileage, AND ford had already addressed the issues under warranty, after I found this out, I sold the car to a dealer Wholesale and disclosed this information to him. He sold it for a big profit and says the customer has never had an issue. I am glad of that, but I sold it in this matter to try to keep true to my goals and only sell what I consider is the BEST examples of Used FORD GTs and other high-end cars. I am sure at any point I could un-knowingly sell a car that has had a problem or problems in the past, but I do my best to buy my cars from original owners who I feel for the most part are TRUSTWORTHY. We/I aso do a very close inspection on all cars that pass through here

Also, I have only ONE car in my inventory at this moment that was purchased from ebay. I have had some in the past, but only one at the moment and I am very selective about the ones I purchase.

At anyrate, there are several places that good quality cars can be purchased, just do your homework on the car you are interested in. I run free carfax reports and ford warranty reports for anyone looking at any car. Does NOT have to be one of mine.
