My name is Kevin, I was a former viper owner that was dissatisfed with the cockpit of the car. I'm 6'3 and 250 pounds and now you know why. I thought the car was fast and fun to drive,But I decided to take it to a new level. I started reading the forum about a year ago and I finally bought my black with silver stripe FGT in May. All I have to say is WOW!!!!! I thought I was the only black FGT around in the area,But come to find out there was one about 10 miles away. His name is Pe2unia (John) he took me under his wing and showed me the ropes on the forum, Bye the way, very computer illiterate but learning. John took me to some local car shows where I met some fellow forum members. About 5 months ago I went to my local 1/4 track (MIR) and ran the car a few times. My first pass i went 11.80 and being easy on it. My second pass was a 11.60 driving the car a little harder. MY third pass was a 11.40 at 126mph. I think with a little more practice, I think I could of went teens???? who knows. I finally started doing some upgrades to car for my winter project more to come on that note. I also bought a worth 4 post car lift. That sure makes life easy thanks Johns help. So I like to give a big thanks to John, and hope to talk you all soon.

Welcome Kevin. May you have many beneficial posts. You can feel good about the color. Michael Dell also has a black no stripe.

Welcome aboard, Kevin! 'Always good to have another member join in! :thumbsup:cheers

(P.S. Michael Dell was looking for a Blue/White - but couldn't FIND one! lol!)

Kevin, 11.40@126 is an EXCELLENT time for a stock GT!

Welcome to the forum :cheers

(the story was that they originally intended to only offer the car with stripes, but Michael Dell wanted a black car with no stripes so they call it the Michael Dell special)

Hard to clean

Kevin,
I really dont think you will like having this black Ford GT,,,,mainly because
it will be very hard to keep clean:) Good Luck and make sure your tires are warmed up before you get the car dirtier. BillyRay
