Hawaii Tsunami Relief Effort

As you may have heard, a tsunami struck Hawaii yesterday at 11:20 AM with only fourteen hours advance notice. Hilo was especially hard-hit. The water in the bay became muddy with the 3-foot surge rushing in and out (many, many gallons) several times.

And this destruction came on top of all of the other weather conditions we have to cope with! The high for the day was only 80 degrees and it got down to 65 at night! I know you other Forum Members feel sorry for the local inhabitants and want to help with the recovery effort so please keep those Hawaii Tsunami Relief contributions coming in. :wink

Do you know whether or not the EPA intends to levy a HUGE FINE on Mother Nature for perpetrating this muddy desecration???

I mean, it was FRONT PAGE NEWS here locally when a peice of construction equipment got stuck in the muck along the shoreline of a local lake (GASP!!!) which created a couple "ruts" in the shoreline along with muddying the water for a little while during the process of removing it.
 
Sending checks is not enough. We need to rally together and fly over to help Hilo sift through the reamains and offer him the moral support he needs right now. Dave, how many of your guest bedrooms survived this catastrophe?

I must admit that I've not kept up with all the news regarding this natural disaster. Was it George W. Bush's fault?

I think that we can blame the lack of preparedness to the eastern cold spell on Al Gore. Since everyone in W. DC was expecting warmer winters.
