Happy Birthday Dr. Frank!!
I just wanted to beat your pal STORMCAT to the ‘Well Wishes’.
If I may, let me share a short story about a true car guy and gentleman:
While on travel, I sometimes get the opportunity to meet some of the other Forum members that I only get a sense of through the traded quips and notes on our Forum. Since I was going to be visiting a client in Dr. Frank’s backyard, we tried to make arrangements to do a meet and greet.
Without going into the minutia of trying to coordinate our schedules and changing plans, we finally settled on the good Doc joining my client and me for dinner. The doctor was going to bring his GT and share the passion with another Ford Performance aficionado. That plan lasted maybe 5 minutes. That is until he told the missus, and she informed him he already HAS plans. Plans for his surprise Birthday dinner she arranged with some of their close friends.:eek
Did that put an end to our plans? Noooooooooo. He hopped into the GT and came out to the restaurant we were at anyways. We both put a face with a name. Dr. Frank showed off his GT to a truly appreciative car nut, and just before he departed, Dr. Frank dropped the name of a very powerful individual that controls the purse strings of my client.
