Geez, no way the Giants win it all at the beginning of the division series. No way.

Maybe they take out Atlanta in the NLDS.

And then for sure, no way they beat the Phillies in the NLCS.

Not a perfect team. Not a perfect season. Just a perfect ending.

Unfortunately for me, I'm an AL guy. Next year!!!

Great to be a Giants fan today! I remember sitting in Candlestick the final game of the 100 loss season, this erases it all! Now if Cal could get to the Rose Bowl I can die happy.

Can't Bear to watch Cal play this season. Riley is far from NFL material. Stanford's QB is more like it.

I am not a big Baseball fan. But the Father of my girlfriend in High School and College was a Giants season ticket holder. He sat behind Bob Lury(SP?) the former owner of the Giants. I used the tickets so many times when Candlestick park was almost empty. Later, I was able to buy cheap seats and sit behind Bob. He would turn around, shake my hand and the security people would leave us alone.

I am not a big Baseball fan. But the Father of my girlfriend in High School and College was a Giants season ticket holder. He sat behind Bob Lury(SP?) the former owner of the Giants. I used the tickets so many times when Candlestick park was almost empty. Later, I was able to buy cheap seats and sit behind Bob. He would turn around, shake my hand and the security people would leave us alone.

The Giant's president, Larry Baer, and I both attended Lowell High in SF, although Larry is one year younger than myself. I knew of him at school but were not friends. However my sister and brother in law know him and have been to many games in the owners box. Not a big fan of the game, but this was a good year to have some interest. The last game I attended was when Barry Bonds broke the home run record.

You're right it is tough this year! As much as it pains me to say it Luck is the real deal. The other side of the family has bragging rights this year! As far a Riley, his career is over as a Bear (torn MCL). Hopefully Mansion can salvage something. Go Bears!

IMO Riley's football career is over, I hope he graduates with degree in something other than basket weaving.

Not just your opinion playing wise, probably he'll go into coaching like his dad. Don't know what you do as an "American Studies" major.

I still remember when Will Clark hit a home run at first at bat...

Much like being a fan of Navy’s football team, being a Giants fan has required patience. It was great to watch them win the Series.
