Gauge Repair

I recently replaced a few more gauges in the dash and now have all of the originals replaced with auto-meter units, save the tach and speedo. Over 14 years I have developed quite a stack of old gauges. Hate to toss them. Has anyone had any luck getting them repaired? Auto-meter said they did not do repairs on the originals. Thanks for any useful info.. KO

Repairing the factory small gauges is useless. You can buy replacements that won't fail directly from Autometer. The bad small gauges are paperweights.

That leaves the speedometer and tachometer, which someone here will upgrade with modern innards that won't fail. Search will find it. I wish there was a sticky topic.

Kendall of "Cooltech" has posted that they have a fix for the big gauges (tach / speedo).
