Great shots. Is the interior original? The dash looks new.

I think it is great that Mercedes still makes replacement parts for these older cars. Unlike Ford, those parts are still affordable.

Interior is all new: Leather seats, square weave wool carpet, etc.

Paint, Chrome, Leather, Wood, Carpets & Canvas were done in 2005-2006 on East Coast....decided to defer mechanical restoration till i got to M-B Classic Center...very happy I did. Their shop is like a Lab.

That was my experience when I had Benz'es. They were more like operating rooms or chip manufacturing clean rooms. I referred to my guy as "the Mercedes Doctor". He was a mechanic, not a restoration guy though, but still had a spotless place.

There was a list of stuff I passed on:

-Steering Wheel
-Recondition all Gauges
-Windshield Frame
-Chrome is not Concours Chrome (Blue Hue) they recommend
-Original Verdestein 185/70R Tires
-Re-anadize all engine bay linkages & new BOSCH relays

Suffice to say I have lot of future spend ahead of me....

Beautiful Car. Worth the effort.

You should visit the MB private museum and restoration. It's an older small plant but what you see over there you can't imagine... Goes beyond imagination what they restore from the ground up - detail of the work - parts handmade like original. Oh man oh man was that beautifull
