Guys,

I need your assistance in the procedure for replacing my fuel filter. My 2005 shop manual is useless so I had read (on the forum) that there are two blue 15 amps fuses located under the front hood latch. So I remove both of them and start the engine to relieve the fuel pressure. Well the engine runs roughly however it never quits. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks, Jay

Pull the 30 amp fuse in the #13 position in the power distribution box near the brake reservoir.

The fuse map in the owners manual does list them. There are two fuel pump relays.

As FYI, we've never relieved the pressure before replacing the fuel filter. Just make it a point not to do the replacement on a hot engine.

Sinovac, Tony and Kendall,

Thank you so much for your assistance! Unfortunately my father became very ill. I may not be able to get on this until this coming weekend.

So guys, how many cans or bottles of beer will it take to replace this filter?

You guys are the best!!! Thanks again, Jay

Jay, hope your father feels better. Don't try to beat the GTGuys record time on changing the filter.
