I went to pick up a set of Borrani's for my Maserati today and wound up meeting a very interesting Ford enthusiast who owns the shop they were located at, Mr. Randy Ritchey. The below will explain in better detail a major project that he's been working on for the past 15 years in his Fathers Honor.

His shop was top notch as well....A little bit of everything in there.:eek Take a peek http://www.pahorsepower.com/

Below you'll see an old one next to one of his brand spank'in new motors. They were MASSIVE. Tolerances so tight you don't need gaskets. Randy intends to do a 2 or so year run of selling these motor, if I remember correctly. Licensed by Ford, with warranty.

A close friend of mine that recently purchased a GT had one of theses engines in his 67 GT500 and to say it was a monster, is an understatement!

Saw one of these at the Texas Yellow Rose show in Dallas a few years ago. It was an original 427 SOHC with 8 webers in a CSX4000 Cobra. It sounded incredible. The Shelby Dealer who built it said they had to put the body on after installing the motor or they could not get it in, and had a tough time bolting up the headers as there was almost zero clearance to the front inner fender wells.

Jay Leno has one of these motors in his ERA Cobra Replica - if you've ever seen him in the 'Califonia Tourism' TV Ad, that's the car he's driving down US-1

Actually, Jay does have a Cammer in his 427 Cobra replica, but, his car is NOT an ERA. It is a hand-made aluminum replica that was built by M&L Specialties out of Wisconsin. Some of you probably know the "M" guy who was "M&L Specialties" - a fellow who used to hang around here by the name of Mark Gerisch. :eek

About a year ago Hot Rod Magazine had an excellent article about building the cammer with all new parts. The author, Jay Brown, is also a GT owner. I don't know if he on the forum. The parts list with prices and sources were included. They totaled about $21,000.
