DBK, are you paying the hotel in full now or saving half for January? I only ask because in case of an emergency and we can't attend, do we get half our money back if we cancel before January? I suspect the answer is "NO" but I had to ask.
 
Half now, half in January. It would be too cumbersome to collect twice. In the event you have to cancel, as long as we can find a suitable replacement you should get every penny back. Otherwise, it's whatever we're on the hook for at the hotel. That's why we're gonna only contract out 50 rooms. Usually they give you 10% leeway so as long as we have 45 we should be able to give it all back...
 
I think that you will find that rather than let this whole event be canceled because we came up short by a few people, the rest of us would split the cost of making up the diff.

Nah we couldn't do that to anyone. We've got plenty of people I think. 45 isn't too many, and I suspect a number of people would show up somehow anyways. Looks like we've already got 10 in a day, so we should be good!

Count me in as well with the wife. As I live in Indy I will not need the hotel but would like all the other GT trimmings!!!

HELLO EVERYBODY, Well dbk paniced a little there , but between the team of gt/dbk, looks like we are going to be just fine my friends........ dave sam /mark /steve ans obviously my self are all in today, sam is coming home on the 17th. GUYS I PROMISE YO ALL THIS WILL BE A VERY , VERY SPECIAL EVENT, NOW JUST ENJOY THE RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DBK, I'm not home until late Friday night. Will get in the mail to you bright and early Saturday morning, right before I leave for Cardinals-Padres playoff game. IF out of towners would like to trailer to St. Louis and drive their car from St. Louis to Indy (about 250 miles on good interstate roads), I think I can arrange free storage for towmobiles. Frank
