Ford GT--Timeless

I have to agree. I really like my 458, but the GT is indeed timeless to me too. Both of mine are all black. Someone on this forum once said (don't recall who) that angles on a car design may be cool, but it's the curves that are timeless. The curved rear 'haunches' of the GT and overall lines will be attractive for decades more to come, while Ferraris and Lambos often look quite dated over time (think of the original Countach). If only Ford keeps making all parts for the GT, I'll have mine until I can no longer drive.

If you're going to keep it that long, maybe one of our sponsors can design a seat to help us old guys to get in and out of the car in our later years. Something like those chairs that launch the elderly from their chairs. LOL

I know what you mean though...

Well, thank God for that! :lol

For a second there, I thought you'd missed my point...which was: I prefer that exotics sound like CARS.

A couple weeks back, wifey and I were 'stuck' side-by-side with a 458 for several blocks heading up Scottsdale Rd (Arizona for you foreigners!), and I hafta disagree with ya, Freddy! IT'S DARN FINE LOOKIN' from any angle IMO! I do agree with ya on one point though; the famed sound of its mill DID seem juuuuust a little too "Japanese motorcycle" to me.

:agree: it looks fine from any angle.

I bet wifey was driving while you were looking at the F458. :lol

Actually, Spiffington was driving...

What you mean - is that you prefer that exotics sound like American V8's, right? - LOL

What I mean NOW is: This is getting more involved than I would have figured possible! :biggrin

Meantime, Japanese bikes are the cats meow...nothing beats 'em in the streets or on the drag strip, and they compete and even win the GP races too...all for a fraction of the competitor's machines. They do not require much maintenance either. They are the FGT of bikes. I don't know about the bikes you've heard, but my ZX14 Ninja has rumble, roar and TQ/HP to die for. It's an 8-second bike. I know what you mean though...

Actually I think the Germans are the 'cats meow' now... stupid BMWs. I always perfered the Italian bikes, to bad they are never very fast. I use to say they same thing about their cars but with the new F12 they have finally delivered a car they can beat a stock mustang in a straight line.

Thats what young girlfriends are for :thumbsup

Mark - I have an Italian bike that is VERY fast, the cousin to your Brutale

Would that be a 1098/1198 or 1199?

None of the above - 2008 MV Agusta 1000 F4 312R

Yup, that's PDQ!

I bought this 1090 Brutale, with a Cannonball package. It's a screaming machine but the new BMWs will absolutely walk away from me at 150+. It's embarrassing.

Those are NICE :thumbsup

I saw a documentary on the company, seems an Italian Prince got bored & started building motorcycles

And a difference between my Ferrari friends and GT friends. The GT guys will drive across 3 states to spend the day trying to go 200MPH. The Ferrari guys begin making alternative plans for an event at an espresso shop 5 minutes away if there is a 10 percent chance of rain.

Yes they are beautiful.. the lengths some people will go to just to have one sitting in their garage, (me being one of them)

Nicely put. Also - Ferrari guys having matching sweat suits !
