Well, I have been trying to find GTs for sale on Ebay. Only one now, in Montreal for $198K. I think we have probably run down to only a few remaining new GTs still available and very few used ones for sale. Surprisingly, they are going up in value, most likely because they are not manufactured anymore, but I do remember some Forum Members thinking they would not hold their value. Not much as far as Statistics on re-sale, but I suspect owners of GTs in good condition will be well served by the Blue Oval and the GT Mark. :banana :banana :cheers

I have been looking for another black Gt , I found lots of ads on Autotrader.com but I call on them and mosy of the dealers that have ads on the site 90 to 100 cars don't have them anymore and try to sell me a Mustang, I guess they are useing the GT ads to draw calls to try to sell you a Shellby 500

not sure what ebay your looking at but it looks to me like theres 11 of em' up on my ebay right now....and 1 salvage one.........and a black one if your still looking.....ebay # 130107960904 .............

I think there are a couple of canadian cars (new) at dealers for big prices, however canadian prices are only relevant to the canadian market as we are unable to import american gt's to Canada. At todays exchange rate an '06 costs about (new or used) 180K US.

I found the damaged black GT and a white one in Montreal, using "2006 Ford GT" as the serarch on Ebay.

What is the restriction based on not shipping American GT's to Canada, usually it is the other way around with European cars coming into the American market?

From what I read, US cars & EU cars are not allowed INTO Canada. Only the productions CAN cars.

CAN cars can go to US & EU, however, I also read somewhere that US restrictions put in place during late '06 deliveries restrict late '06 CAN cars going to US as well...

More research is probably recommended...

According to a local Ford dealer there are 45+ GT's still being listed @ dealers in Canada. Most of them however are in the hands of principals of the dealership & not for sale... yet.

Try getting a dealer to provide u w/ an allocation printout.

Interesting form of protectionism!

This isn't protectionism. The CAN GT's have an addition rear bumber extention which removes in about 10 minutes. I assume this is to meet Canadian safety standards. Unfortunitly this addition weight cost us a McIntosh radio.

But, on the other hand, you gained a storage pocket.:thumbsup
(AND, you can watch the blower spinin' in your rear view mirror!)

US cars are explicitly PROHIBITED from entering Canada (for at least 25 years). Then they will be classified as antique cars and won't matter.

Do you know of any other american made vehicles prohibited in canada?

It's all dependant on crash safety - the front & rear bumpers on the GT are modified & of course daytime running lights.

Other US cars disallowed I can't really think of right now - maybe the S7's??

Bevy of other manufacturers isn’t / weren't allowed - Lotus Elise's weren't allowed in for some time, McLaren F1's never, etc. etc.

U should see what the government is doing to the replica car biz - Superformance has had it's legs pretty much cut out from under them (still in court) - before they could deliver ANY GT40's... looks like CAV may go too & Factory Five. U may be able to wrench something together in ur garage but buy something close to turn-key - good luck... Of course everything already here is grandfathered.

We were looking @ a Superformance Brock Coupe / Daytona - only 3 were brought into Canada & only 1 is left still as a roller in Ottawa... now that's a pretty low # / future rarity...
