Monica and I kind of stand out at SM since they know we are huge Ford fans -we heard the Chevy forum posted news that Ford had released performance numbers for the New Ford GT. :confused Dug a little and found this article.

Sounds a bit optimistic but... Hey it must be true since it is on the internet. :lol

Start saving you $$$.

Stock market down, price may be going up to 599K. Of course you can't believe everything on the net, except if DBK post it.

Original rumors have stated the GT would make 630 horsepower, and a few other rumors have even stated as much as 700 hp. What's the price? Not $100k. Not $120k. Not $150k. Not $250k or $400k, or even $500k! That's right, it's going to cost almost $600,000, and that is the base price of Ford's new supercar hypercar.

Its 9.47ET/170mph 1,320-foot dash makes the new GT unbeatable by the +Ferrari LaFerrari (9.6ET/157mph, recorded by +Automobile Magazine) and even the +KOENIGSEGG One:1 (estimated 9.82ET/163mph by +fastestlapsDOTcom), but both of these cars have much more horsepower than the Ford GT, but also the GT weighs like a midget (for an American car).

You may not be able to buy the new Ford GT until late 2016 (the official Ford website also implies that).

I realize that everything on the internet is true but a 9.4 et would translate to a 144-148 trap speed not 170 mph as cited in the article. At 170mph the et would be deep into the 8's.
Need a parachute for runs over 150 but Watson Engineering can provide the necessary mount from the Cobra Jet.

Totally fabricated and no truth to any of it at all.

Saw that "article" yesterday on the Corvette C7 Z06 boards and had a good laugh...2500 LB weight...uh huh, sure. LOL

It's closer to 2500 than it is to what a C7 Z06 weighs...

Tease!

Wikipedia now says: "The car is to be powered by a newly designed 3.5 liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine making 720 horsepower and 539 foot-pounds of torque"

Don't kill the messenger....

Funny

Bargain. I've caught fish that wound up costing more per pound.

HPKings is clickbait.

It really amazes me that people can get away with posting garbage like this... We all know it will be closer to 800hp.

Less HP, way less weight! Very fast car!
