Be verrrry careful with F40's , there are more storied cars out there than unstoried ones. A good friend of mine owns one of the best examples in the country, it has won many prestigous awards, before he bought this car, he looked at many "clean, documented cars" that didn't pass proper examination by "experts". It is one of the most gorgeous, iconic Ferrari's and the prices are all over the place. There are legitimate $750K cars out there, and there are some that aren't worth 300K with low miles and clean documented history. Make sure you get the right expert to go over the car from inside out. I agree with Tony, it's a shame that people don't drive this car, but then again, most Ferrari owners don't drive the cars. I have a number of friends that do have this car, some do drive it, some track them, and others trailer them from show to show, the only miles they put on them are on dollies.
