When I 1st read this I thought WOW. Now a few months later re reading this, and thinking about the magnitude of this, it really is incredible!

She mixed and poured every drop of nitro we ran in my dragsters.

Liquid red, no stripe, silver wheels, in the sunlight.

Makes my heart go pitty-pat!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Rotors used to have "min thickness". Do they go by weight now?
Is there a pattern to the drilled holes or do they just send them to Jr. High School wood shop?
"Liquid" describes that color perfectly! Beautiful.

Looks like they go by weight now.
Perhaps the hole pattern is computer designed to mitigate cascading thermal inversion?

In sunlight the liquid red is so beautiful it makes my eyes leak!

Eddie

The 2006 Ford GT Heritage and the New 2019 Liquid Red GT both wanted to get out in the North Texas sun and let me take their pictures-

How could I refuse?

Is this a great country or what?

Thanks for looking,

Cheers, Eddie

Eddie, how often do you pull the wheels to keep them so clean? either you don’t drive the car or clean after every drive. Like that I am not the only one Lol.

I don't drive my street cars much, and then only on clean roads in ideal conditions, (like my 1/4 mile long concrete driveway, for instance, the only place my new GT has been), but I have never had to take the wheels off my street cars to clean them.

I use a product from here in Texas, called Rejex, (no affiliation, I just like to use it and recommend it) makes cleanup a LOT easier. My Pro Formula Mazda race car gets a LOT of brake dust on the wheels after three days of testing and racing, but most times I can simply wipe them clean without getting them wet.

And yes, I normally do a cleanup after each ride in my nice cars. But my sweet bride Ercie lets us use her big Torch Red Chevy Silverado pickup Texas Edition for our daily driver. We take it out no matter what the conditions, even in the rain, and drive it through the touchless car washes fairly often.

Cheers,

Eddie

Too bad, while the car is wonderful to look at, its way more fun to drive. It also gives a chance to "sort" the car out while under warranty.

(like my 1/4 mile long concrete driveway, for instance, the only place my new GT has been),

Eddie knows how to have driving fun even if the road is only 1/4 mile long. The attached picture is from the current National Dragsterthumbnail_IMG_5425.jpg

I did not particularly enjoy that ride- especially since I destroyed what was, at the time, the world's quickest and fastest drag racer. But the good Lord pulled me through one more time, and I'm still here to tell the tale, and still, at almost 84 (on March 6) enjoying racing, thank you, Lord! More pictures. They are not in order, and I can't figure out how to move them around, sorry about that.

Scary. You are a very lucky man to have survived and have a charmed life.

Amazing that you borrowed another car and finished the race - not many others would have that level of competitive intensity.
I hope you paid a bonus to your chassis builder
