Last weekend I did a Porsche driving school at Mid Ohio in my GT500. I found that with the FRPP suspension and performance upgrade the car was remarkably easy to drive on the track and very neutral. On the downside, though, I had the stock Goodyears on with +2lbs. On a cold track and cold tires I found them absolutely treacherous!

I am putting the winter tires and wheels on this week.

Other comments about these original Goodyears on cold roads?

Sounds just like the behavior of the F-1s on the FGT. Surprise, surprise! :biggrin

And noisy as hell.

What year GT500? I have a 2007 with the Ford Racing lowering and suspension upgrade. I hear the 2010 has a better suspension.

Cool. I have white with dark blue stripes. I have not taken it to the track as of yet. I have a stage 3 Roush, that I took to the once, but after the GT it was hard to enjoy.

its not going to be a gt, but there is a suspension package on the market that will corner with the best....
griggs racing has hit 1.55 peak g's with their blown mustang gt live axle. :rofl
in case you missed it, motor trend pulled a peak g's of 1.55 in the stock zr1 recently. not bad for a mustang, not bad at all!
