ByeEnzo and rsstopper are 2 owners I truly respect! While our GTs are the best, it's always more fun to share rides with other enthusiasts and our best buddies with tails in the other seat. Too cool! I've always taken my blue eyed "Shelby" girl Australian everywhere I went. she's gone now but have some great pics of her riding in some cool cars with me.
Not to derail the thread but it is so great for me to see young kids get so enthused about my GTs. anytime I'm at a cruise or car show I always let kids get in to have their pictures taken behind the wheel. their grins are priceless!

Sam loves rides.............

My miniature Daschund, Hot Rod, likes to drive my Ariel Atoms, but she is vertically challenged, so I have to hold her up so she can reach the steering wheel. And I have to work the pedals for her. Her favorite drive is through the pits at Hallett Motor Raceway, near Tulsa.

If Shelby was an Australian Shepherd, you'll have to post some photos up. We had a blue Merle we lost some time ago. Still miss her, but we rescued another Aussie who is amazing.

Shelby was a rescue Aussie/Husky mix. we kept her going for 15 1/2 years. my vet said really good care for a 70lb. dog. I built her a ramp and took the door hinge stops out of my Supercrew so she could ride with me.

My pit mix, Bodhi, goes all over the place with me. Loves to ride along. He's 8 years old. Got a few more good years with my companion. Sad dogs don't live longer.

Sometimes Cody likes to drive. So I let him.

Great stuff- Dachshunds rule!

btw - just saw something the other day that may be useful for those with a ride along dogs.

A short tether/ leash, 24" or so, and adjustable, that has a male seat belt connection on it. Doggies can look out but not jump out.

Old movie "On Any Sunday" (it had Steve McQueen too) Guy racing Baja on a motorcycle has a carpet fastened on his gas tank. Dog on the carpet. rolls into a checkpoint, dog leaps off, waters a bush, leaps back on, and they're off. Priceless.
