My oldest Nephew Chris graduated Cornell University as an Economics Major today.

He crossed the finish line after an 8yr race with flying colors: full academic scholarship and blue-chip job awaiting him in NYC.

We bought a house as a family partnership 8 years ago in Scarsdale, NY

Sweat equity from my Brother Kamran and an investment from myself.

We weathered many ups and downs, market crashes, employer bankruptcies, health, and moves.

Always we came back to Family, hard-work, dedication, and duty: 3 generations pushing for the American Dream

They made it up to Cornell and enjoyed a great weekend; Joe his brother is starting in Fall; and we signed the contract to sell our house at a profit Friday morning.

40 years ago their Grand Father Sohrab touched down on a Boeing 707 in the USA and said I want my name to mean something in this country.

His dream was for his kids and their kids name to be read out at the Commencement Ceremony of an Ivy League University

"Col. Sohrab, Mission Accomplished!"

Clear skies ahead :usa

A proud moment. The American dream is there for those who work hard and sacrifice.
Well done.

Only in America. Congratulations to Chris and your Families Accomplishments. Great looking young man with a bright future ahead of him. You have great reasons to be very proud.

Congratulations to your family! That is a great accomplishment. The opportunity is here for those willing to work for it. You should be proud of your nephew! We all are!
