Was a great race and a good showing for Ford! We were at the track had a great time! Ran into Edsel , Lance Mosley, Jack Roush , Smoke and others..

I think we may have helped a little in the Win..Danari and I signed to the start-finish line checkered stripe Before the Race for good luck. I think it worked!:biggrin

Your hair is starting to look a little too"Jack Webb." You need to let it grow out like your girlfriends.

I used to really like Winston Cup, and really followed it. I had no idea the last race was yesterday, nor have any clue their current championship formula. Too many changes, from week to week (sponsorship, such that cars look completely different each week). Heck, Im not even 100% sure what the series is called today, as that has changed a lot. Still Nextel (ha ha)?

Congrats to Ford!! Last championship was around the time the sport lost me.

The racing is not all that entertaining after getting hooked on IMSA. All the car bodies look the same other than advertising but Ford has been pretty dominant this year and spent ton's of money advertising in this series. One look at the stands and you can see others share your lack of enthusiasm.

This particular race has a large fan draw. It's the final race of the year. I actually met a lot of people from up North who came down to get away from the cold. The stands were full!

That is Lance and I in the third picture from the top. He also joined us at Road Atlanta.

Stands definitely not full. They never are these days. Daytona may prove to be an exception; we'll have to see. I think NASCAR is heading for some hard(er) times.

Joey could strap in a GT & drive LM series and I think he'd do well.

I enjoy most anything that has RPM and the smell of race gas. NASCAR road races are fantastic from incar camera. Last time I was honored to be on the Dale Jarrett Ford team and celebrated the championship with him. Its not IMSA but I am happy to enjoy both and you can catch me going crazy over a good Top Fuel NHRA 8000hp beast swallowing nitro methane.

I keep reading they think a lack of diversity is their problem.

I think if they actually ran stock cars. STOCK cars, instead of the spec series it has become, it would help enormously.

All that said, congratulations to Ford for a MFG's championship. It has been too long.

Avondale track for the NASCAR races was sold out two Sunday’s ago. Monster energy or Xfinity race. Pretty empty the day before.
