Anybody out there have the dimensions for the Gurney bubble? Awsum, I PM'd you about this. I'm thinking of having a local craftsman make me one from scratch. Guy's great with an English wheel, etc. Saleen won't sell me the piece by itself or even give me a general idea about dimensions. Would rather have my guy do it, along with lowering the seat cushion, instead of sending off the door (or the whole car) to Saleen. I'm 6'4" and life won't be fun with a helmet on at track days. One other option I considered, is to get a separate seat for track days (Recaro?) that I could bolt in. I think I could drop it quite a bit to gain room. That way I could keep the orig. seat stock. Anybody changed to a molded race bucket? Thanks, AC

Can't give you the demensions on the bubble, but regarding the seat, let me make a suggestion. Call a top quality upholstrey shop, ask them if they can rework the bottom cushion with memory foam. I have done this with several cars, and always pick up a inch or inch and half of room.
Cheers, daniel

I know that this is a late reply. I solved a similar problem by lowering my seat and loosing over 70 lbs. I sent the seat to Gannadi in Wi, and that made a huge difference.

AJ doesn't have any weight to lose! He's skinney as a rail as it is.

don't go through the drive throughs... eat only at the table, and eat 1/3 portions, down from three MAKERS MANHATTANS at lunch to one, a bottle of wine to one glass.... very boring.

Hmmm... maybe thats the new hot Bony pic he's using in his avatar.:lol

Bony, my wife has a PhD in Hypnotherapy (she co-wrote a book with Deepak Chopra a few years ago), and aside from stop smoking, weight loss is by far the most common thing she works on. I've heard her say it time again and time again, "portion control". You hit the nail on the head! I congratulate you on your success. :banana

Yeah man, that's a good result. you should be proud of yourself.

Regarding the bubble, send me a PM with your email and I can give you some pics of Saleen doing it to mine as a new car and pics/dimensions of the finished product. It's a very clean job - not sure how far from Saleen you are, but they did it right. You might want to extend it aft for more headroom depending on your seating position. I was surprised to find it correctly positioned for me with a helmet on so far. I'll let you know after my first track day (with the FGT) on Monday.
