Bridgestone tires on stock rims

Guys

I am just about to purchase a set of Bridgestone scuderia 345/35zr19 rear tires and 255/40zr18 tires for my 06 GT and mount them on the stock BBS upgraded wheels and I have 3 questions

1) I am ultimately looking for a wider tire look for the rear tires and I am concerned that with the stock rims the stance may not be that much wider than stock even though I went from a stock 315 size tire to a 345 , has anyone made this change and if so how does it look and do you have any pictures

2) Are there any clearence issues with the 255 width tires on the front

3) Any complaints about the quality of these Bridgestone tires

Thanks

Rob

We've installed this tire numerous times.

1) Sorry no pics featuring the stance. IMO, it is noticeable, but at ~1" total track with increase, it is not THAT big.
2) No, not even in lowered applications.
3) Haven't heard any.

I gotta get a set ordered for my car here pretty soon as I am pretty close to the wear bars on the OEM rear GY's.

I have them on my car and:

1) You can't tell the difference.... I mean maybe if you had 2 GTs next to each other you would, but otherwise they look similar IMO. I think the Goodyear are a "wide" 315 tyre.

2) As said above, no problems

3) The fronts are grippier and you can see it at the track when understeering is delayed. The big plus is at the back. It is really night and day in terms of traction, also in the wet and cold temperatures. I would recommend them!

Shesgotlegs has these tires on his car! He's really happy with them!

Haven't replace tires yet, but don't we have 20 in wheels in back and 19 in front?

Not unless you have aftermarket wheels....

Optional BBS forged wheels are:

Front:
5-lug, 4.5" bolt circle
6.90" backspacing
50 mm offset
18" dia x 9" wide
tire 235/45ZR-18

and

Rear:
5-lug, 4.5" bolt circle
7.295" backspacing
40 mm offset
19" dia x 11.5" wide
tire 315/40ZR19

As mentioned in other threads, you can see them on one of Shelby's cars:

You can tell they are wider.

hahahaha, I guess someone hasn't visited his car for awhile......:thumbsdow

I just put Bridgestone on a week ago, 265 front, 345 rear. all is good, no rubbing. As for questions #1 and 3, I can't opine as I haven't had them long enough and it's been raining cats & dogs in SF.

My Heritage I got from Shelby in Dec has them on their. I absolutely love them, very hard to bust loose when warm unless you totally dump the clutch. No noticeable stance issues.
