Of course one can look at it that way if one chooses to go that deep, Andy. But, do you think Joe Sixpack deduced/picked up on all that? Highly doubtful! 'Waaaaaay to cerebral!

I chose to see it only in terms of its "red, white, and blue" content my own darned self.

Gentlemen,

I thought the Eastwood/anti-America/socialist Superbowl ad was embarrassing. I like Clint Eastwood and seeing him spout socialist drivel in that ad (which was filmed in New Orleans, not Detroit) made me cringe. I could not believe that Dirty Harry had been turned into Mr. Rogers. Stop the blame and unite behind this lawless disaster?? Really? That's what will bring America back? I thought it was the worst superbowl ad by far, and that's being charitable.

Yeah - I am banning myself for the night too before I say something more political....but that is HOW the Eastwood ad is being portrayed here in Detroit too.... Especially since all the Detroiters feel that the 'Saviour" and 'Messiah' saved the Auto Industry anad deserves 4 more years ...and now they are asking him to save Detroit.....

Wow - Chrysler Corp. is now taking a lot more heat. The ad IS being viewed as a political ad. Today at the Chicago Auto Show their Director of Marketing refused to answer details questions....and , even more telling, the AD is not running 'looped' at the ChryslerExhibit over and over. Last year the Eminem 'Made in Detroit Music AD" ran continuously day-and-night at the Chicago Show... Telling...
