Ed

Hi Ed
Desi not Dino, even if I am already a forum member from the early days :-) Hope all is well

If the "European" GT owners club will communicate in French mainly, I believe they will have a hard time to represent the European GT community and attract members outside the french speaking borders especially if they separate themselves from the forum mothership. In this regard I totally share Copenhagens position. Maybe it is easier for the French to communicate in French? Anyhow, I wish you good luck to establish the French European GT owners club and maybe we can liase in the future. Even if I personally speak French, I am happy to be part of the International US GT Forum and hope to see some more activities on the European, English speaking chapter. It's a pitty that only few Europeans take advantage of the opportunity to be part of this great platform.

We had a first nice GT40 reunion meeting last summer in Berlin with some friends. Hope to see more European GT buddies this summer at our 2. GT40 Rennsport Réunion 2014 during the GT-Masters at the Eurospeedway to support the Lambda Performance Team with their hot Racing GT. :thumbsup

Dear DESI.

Last December 7, Copenhagens posted here, to regret that the language of the European Club and its Forum was the French.
We are listening carefully the remarks of everybody, to upgrade our Club. The one of Copenagen makes
On last December 28, we annouced that our Forum became bilingual English / French.
I hâve forgoten to post that on this forum Ford GT. Sory!!! I imagined I had do it.
Since then, we have translated into English most of the old posts, and all the new ones are systematically translated into both languages by the authors or by us.
I recall that our host requires that all the Forums can be read in French.
Now, it seems to me that we gives satisfaction to everyone. What more?

We have only six weeks, our subject is confidential, and yet we recorded an average of 500 readings per week. This means that we are responding to a need.
Our forum does not compete in any way the essential and remarkable Forum Ford GT. I have expresses that, and I confirmed it.
The only beneficiary is the Ford GT wining in life and reputation.
Our members are enthusiasts who are members of several clubs and express themselves in several places.
Please, do us the honor to join us and enrich our small friendly group, with your personality and your experience.
I wich you will accept.

Friendships.

Hi Desi - Sorry but I was getting you mixed up with Dino Ferrari! When we bring our GTs to Europe we will want to meet up with you. Good to hear from you.

Hello DESI.
Thank you for your answer, and I think the misunderstanding about the communication language of the European Club is set. We are now bilingual English / French.
I have noted your event in May in Berlin. It would be a good opportunity to get acquainted before Le Mans Classic. I would return to you to see how we can organize ourselves, can be several.
I think it would be very interesting to communicate with the Europeans on this meeting, especially about your business in general.
To date, most of us, know nothing. I propose that our permanent Topic Forum dedicated to this subject, its history, present, projects, etc ....
Thank you send me an email to the Club: european.ford.gt.owners.club @ gmail.com
Return trip to the end of January, I will be happy to communicate with you on all these subjects.
Friendships.

NEWS LETTER N° 1 .

January 27, 2014 .
First assessment after two months of existence of our Club.

European organization.

POSITIVE : It is rapidly setting up. The Club now has two delegate responsables for the animation in their country.
For Great Britain : David Jones, the man who best knows the GT in Europe, and with Roush , was commissioned by Ford to import and register the 101 Ford GT on our Continent.
Germany: Sascha Fassbender, head of Matechsports.
Competence and reputation of these two men guarantee the best developments to our Club.

Memberships.

POSITIVE : They multiply rapidly.
Having still formalized or being doing it, we have to date : 6 owners in France, 1 in Switzerland,
2 in Belgium, 7 in UK, 2 in Germany, 2 in Sweden, plus a few supporters.
And it is far from finished, many others already identified owners will soon be approached.

Gathering 4, 5 and 6 July 2014 at Le Mans Classic.

POSITIVE : Everything looks the best for this meeting to be an exceptional event.
We got a exceptional location in the middle of the most prestigious clubs .
Along the track, on the grass, equipped with a tent of 50 m2, it is expected to receive 25 Ford GT. To date, 15 of our cars have already booked their place .
All GT will turn together on the 24 hours circuit, on Saturday late morning.
Gastronomic meals are organized, may be a visit of some «*Châteaux de la Loire*», etc…
We will soon communicate on the details of an organization that we want brilliant.
Each of you, will shortly receive a form of request for payment. Our reservations were recorded, but if we dont make the final payment in the coming weeks, the organizers will not keep them for us.
Be careful, you need to hurry, because there will not be room for everyone, for accommodation, laps, meals, etc ..
For more information, refer to our forum, or contact us by mail:

european.ford.gt.owners.club @ gmail.com

Communication forum.

There are good and less good things.

POSITIVE : We are very proud to have achieved a Forum dedicated to our Club and hosted by the European leader Caradisiac. It allows us to communicate in excellent conditions and offers an exceptional showcase for the Ford GT.
It already covers twenty topics and it is the subject of about 500 readings per week, which is remarkable on a theme as confidential and after only two months of existence,

NEGATIVE : Although more than respectable, this performance does not satisfy us.
This forum for communication, exchange and documentation is still insufficiently attended, and we must do better to give our Club a real life, through contacts between members, supporters and fans in general.
We are determined to achieve it, and we started to attack us to improve some key points.

LANGUAGE FORUM :

Initially, and to comply with the rules of the host, French was the language fo our Forum .
It was a mistake .
Dice December 28, with the agreement of the host, we made it bilingual French / English. All texts must be written and translated simultaneously in both languages. It was therefore requested an effort to editors to ensure themselves the simultaneous translation of their texts, what everyone folded with great goodwill. We thank them. For those who could not do so, we have provided the translation ourselves, as best as possible.

PRESENTATION OF EACH TO OTHER MEMBERS :

We especially want that each presents himself to other members. We consider, it is the best way to make contacts, to ensure usability and focus the human dimension of our group of enthusiasts.
We remind you that the membership does acquire after publication of this presentation.
For now, it is clearly not working.
One reason for this failure can be difficulty to write this presentation. To make things easier, we propose a diagram of a very simple questionnaire, which simply provide the answers .

Here again :

- What is your professional field ? Your age ? Your area ?
- How is born your passion for cars ?
- What interests you in the world of " Cars passions "?
- Do you have other " cars passions " that your Ford GT?
- Description your Ford GT ( year , color, mileage , options, etc ...).
- How have you acquired (purchase at a merchant, a particular import ) ?
- How long are you do you owns it ?
- How many kilometers have you traveled ?
- What is your use of it ( walk episodic, major travels, circuit) ?
- Tell your life with GT ( first meeting , large and small joys , large and small quarrels , stories , etc ...)
Dont hesitate to add photos ........

Thank you to do this essential exercise and publish it quickly, to give real life to your Forum. We count on you.

THE USE OF THIS FORUM :
*
Clearly, Ford GT owners are not all used to surf the Forums, and they find it difficult to understand how.

In their attention, we published on the top of our forum, and in both languages, most of the manual. We are of course available to everyone to answer questions they will ask us by email .

TO ACCESS OUR FORUM :

1 / Hask your search engine " FORUM AUTO ".
2 / On the page that appears, click " Forum Automobile Forum- auto.com*»
3 / On the page that appears, you can find a list of topics (index , marques, pratique, etc. .. ) Click on " LES CLUBS "
4 / Club page appears on orange background. Scroll down to find " European Ford GT Owners Club ". Click , you are home.
5 / To not have to do all this at each visit, you can copy the address shown in the window then your search engine and enter in your favorite spots.

6 / Then, you can read everything, but not communicate. To communicate, you must register. You will find on top of the forum, the way to easy do it.

… To be followed ....
