Badge is not an original piece for the GT but was offerred on this site some time ago.

That is a ShadowMan special billet GT badge. Very, very rare and costly.

Also $17 from Ford....it's off a mustang.

Too funny, I was like wow cool, then Beach Gt chimes in, you guys are funny!

Currently - 3 Badges

There are currently 3 "GT" badges that have been put on the rear grills of the cars. Pictures are shown below:

Pic 1 is a Mustang "GT" emblem - available at any Ford dealership - it's nice, plastic, cheap and just a bit too large for the area (yet -it's what I have on my GT)

Pics 2 & 3 are Shadowman's very nicely machined "GT" emblems - they fit the grill area proportionately perfectly. I'm not sure if they are currently available. While the 1st picture gives it a gold hew, they are in fact silver in color.

Pics 4 & 5 are "FORD GT" emblems from AZGT who has imported them - I believe from Australia. A lot of the owners have put them on, after having them painted to match the particular colors of their GT's. They are about $40 and fit the grill areas nicely.

Excellent post!

I always thought a little badge like the one on '66 GT350's might look good....

I try to avoid the word Ford on my car. If the cops stop me I'll tell them it's a Jaguar and pop the wrong insurance car. Hopefully I'll get off in court.

I bought my GT badge from Shadowman while back; it fits perfectly, and of excellent quality! Shadowman takes no short cuts! :thumbsup

The one on Happys car looks to be the plastic Ford badge.

Shadowman takes no short cuts! :thumbsup

Some, if not most, take the path of least resistance which leads to generally acceptable results. Others take the most expedient route to what can be called a OK by some and a hack job by others. Shadowman has a higher standard and seek perfection as the only path possible before embarking on a project.

My is plastic, but it looks good. I going to keep it, as long as it does not melt, man it gets hot back there....
