I just saw B.j.....sign of the times ........so I immediately clicked on it. Not at all what I expected.:biggrin:eek:confused

Did you see the 68 gto, 30 grand , that thing must have had 90 grand in it..well for guys like us its now a labor of love or forget about it...there is no cash out there..the good news is the GT is in a class all its own.....gtjoey1314

Saw our own GTLes pick up a '62 vette convertible. Some nice cars finally selling for depressed prices.

Stu

The classics are still holding up - F40's are fetching good money and the older Astons (DB4's and 5's) are going for Himalayan sums.

Fortunately the GT was a classic the day it was born. Not unlike myself in many respects. :)

Buyer's market? Too bad we pulled the trigger on demolishing our house to rebuild this year:bored.

As I am sure many of you know; if you think cars are expensive, try construction....even now days.:frown

.

The cost of the construction was not suprising, but the government regulations, approval and requirements drove me nuts!

Trying not to hijack here.

Permit (up here) to demolish house and build new; $27,000 and 3 years getting all Government agencies to sign off.

$1000.00 = one construction dollar.

Applying to this thread, cost of permit nearly equal to 1968 GTO in this buyer's market.

.

WOW ...did you see that new camaro with the 69 front body kit....WOW tht looks REAL GOOD...GTJOEY1314

That is what I am talking about. I can take the 27K permit, but the 3 years for approval! :ack

It is no surprise to me that the government and BP can't fix the oil leak in the gulf. Too many bureaucrats needed to approve the plans before any action can be taken. :thumbsdow

My hats off to SYCO and HHGT for getting their projects completed in spite of the government!

Those look great but todays was a chrome bumper set up, looks all 69

I think BJ will learn that OC is a different market than Scottsdale, Vegas, Palm Beach ,etc.

OC car buyers have very high standards, know quality; AND already have nice cars....so they are not giving up a slot/bay in their garage or a car, unless whats on offer is amazing

The other venues are transient, or transactional markets.

I have been alll over, and the best kept cars are always in OC.

Hmmmmmmmmm...I hit "submit" after asking the same question & it didn't post!

Anyway, "+1"!

Did you happen to notice if this car has a chromed rear bumper too?

'Which gives credence to the old adage, "Welfare should be as hard to get as a building permit."

Empty, it only had the front with chrome, it sold on saturday......its looks gret complete with the r/s doors for head lites...molded perfect....the back looked stock new, but the front was REAL NICE....IM NOT A FAN but it changed the car completely....gtjoey1314

'Sure wish I could get a look at it.

The front end on the yellow "Transformers" Camaro (supposedly the front end that the new Z/28 is going to get) REALLY puts the standard one to shame.

Found it. whew, took a while

http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appl...st.aspx?year=2101&make=chevrolet&model=camaro

I think the nose piece is a little too long. Also poor color match with fenders. How much did it sell for?

Is it me or does the paint not match??? The front end and rear side panels are much brighter than the darker red door and hood. Im suer they used the same paint but because the materials used are different it looks like two different shades of paint....
