I'll be out in Scottsdale this week for a few days. I have a day to burn on Weds and was looking for some good roads (for my rental car! :rofl). Anyways how about 87 north up to 188 south to 60 west. About 225 miles roundtrip from my hotel. Roads look good, on paper.

Any suggestions (or co-pilots!) welcome!

Oak Creek Canyon (between Sedona and Flagstaff) is a great drive!

Jason -

Here's a 6 hour drive from Scottsdale to Jerome, Sedona and Payson - then back to Scottsdale, if you're interested....

If you're looking for just driving the above is a nice drive. If you want to see something and have a nice drive stop by the Montezuma's Castle. Figure on at least 2-4 hours to see everything.

Another loop would be up to Payson then over to the Salt River canyon (I think you go from Payson to Strawberry, etc.) It's an awesome twisty turny canyon drive.

Ralphie, I like this one too. Beautiful drive. Jason, drive it counter clockwise. Better views this way. Enjoy!

Thanks guys! I've done about 2/3 of this one, but have not been east of 17 yet. I think I'll run up to Payson and come back around clockwise.
